Mexico Municipal Airport H41 Designed for Fs2004

This scenery will also work well in Fs2002.

This scenery is of the Mexico Municipal Airport serving Mexico, Missouri. It is where I took flight training during the 1960's. The default shows a new runway that was not there during the 60's. I have added an old short Cinder runway that has since been discarded, but is exactly like it was when I was taking training there.

The Mexico airport is the home of the Zenith Kit Plane Factory.

When taking off from the old Cinder runway, wait for the Aeronca Champ to take off ahead of you.

I want to give Special thanks to Mr. Ken "Webad" Nelson for helping me through the learning experience of scenery design.
Ken also helped provide the installation instructions in this readme.

Also a Special thanks to my good Canadian friend Mr. Dave Malloch who beta tests my scenery for me. Dave is an experienced scenery designer with scenery designed for the entire Province of Ontatio, Canada.

Also thanks to my good friend, Bill Dicks (WillyBee) for all of his help in my scenery and macro designing.

I want to also thank Tom Hiscox for his efforts in improving Airport 2.60, I used the164 build to create this scenery, Thanks Tom.
Also I wish to thank Brian Mc Williams and the entire Flight Sim group for the freeware Scenery Design Program Airport 2.10, and Manfred Moldenhauer for the SCASM scenery compiler for FS to be used with the new 2.60 upgrade

I want to give thanks to the following people who have provided some of the excellent addon macros used in this scenery design. John Langristin, Jerry Arzdorf, Dana MaGee, Robert Waszkiewicz, Paul Harmon, Paul Cruikshank, Mike Wallace, Jimmy Martin, Don Bohde, Tony Arnold, Rafael Sanchez, Jordan Moore Del Hopkins, Jorge Pagano, and Grahm Oxtoby.

This is a very dense scenery and can best be viewed with the extremely dense or dense scenery complexity, display setting. If you encounter extremely bad frame rates you may set the scenery complexity display setting to sparse, and view the basic scenery only.

Use Default Navaids.

(INSTALLATION)

This scenery has been zipped together in the correct folders provided, to ensure you the best and easiest installation. PLEASE do not remove any files or folders from the MexicoMo directory folder. For a PERFECT FULL INSTALLATION of this scenery, PLEASE follow ALL STEPS BELOW.

STEP 1) UN-zip the MexicoMo.zip file to ANY location on your hard drive, FS2004 will read ALL files from anywhere. It would work best for you if you create a 3rd party Scenery " Holding Folder " directly on your C:\drive or whatever drive letter you use. I created a 3rd party scenery holding folder named FSScenery directly on my C:\drive and I place all these type sceneries there. Doing this gives me a nice short hard drive PATH for the next step and it also increases FS2004 performance because your not filling up the default directory folders.

STEP 2) START the FS2004 program then CLICK Settings and select the SCENERY LIBRARY option. Then in the Scenery Library window, CLICK the ADD AREA button which will bring up the SELECT SCENERY DIRECTORY window (browser). Now in that window, CLICK the button in the upper LOOK IN box to LOCATE and HIGHLIGHT the MexicoMo/Scenery folder. Make sure you have the correct PATH to the MexicoMo/Scenery directory, the last word in the path should say MexicoMo. Because I have my holding folder on my C:\drive, my path is, C:\FSScenery\MexicoMo . MexicoMo, should now appear in the lower box called the Scenery Area Title box. Now click OK. and FS2004 should install the scenery.

AT THIS POINT DO NOT GO TO THE SCENERY AREA, INSTEAD SHUT DOWN AND EXIT FS2004! Fs2004 must be restarted in order for the scenery to be installed.

(INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE)

To Locate the scenery while flying, go to the, Go To Airport option in FS2004 and click the search for addon scenery button.
