M27 Master Mk III

Starting SET:-
Fuel tanks to 'both'.
Gills open, Throttle closed, Mixture rich, Prop slow.
Run as slowly as possible for 30 secs. Then warm
up at 1,000 rpm.
At 2,400 rpm, set full prop down and look for
400 ~ 800 rpm drop. Close throttle and check for
400 ~ 600 rpm. slow running.
Minimum rpm. for normal running is 1,000 rpm.
Brake pressure is 100 lb. / sq. in. min. ~ 120 normal.
Oil Pressure is 80 lb. / sq. in. normal ~ 70 lb. Min.

Taxying:-
Keep engine rpm. above 1,000 and gills open.
Ensure brake pressure is above 120 lb. /sq. in.

Takeoff:-
Set prop to full speed. Flaps to T/O. Gills to 1/3 open.
Run up to 2,000 rpm. release brakes increase to full
throttle.
Boost of 6 lb. (42 inHg.) at 2,625 rpm. to 1,000 ft.
Take off speed is 80 ~ 90 mph. IAS.
Safety speed is 100 mph. IAS.

Climb:-
Climb at 3 lb. boost (36 inHg.) , 2,550 rpm. to 10,000 ft.
Max. climb rate at 115 mph. IAS. To 9,500 ft.

Cruise:-
Stay below 2,250 rpm. and 2 lb. (34 inHg.) Boost.
CHT 200 ~ 260º C. : Oil 55 ~ 70º C.

Approach:-
Flaps to 'Approach', Gills 1/3 , 100 mph. IAS min.
( 110 mph. gliding )

Finals:-
Undercart down, Mixture normal, Prop 2,500 rpm.
( or fully up )
Flaps full out.

After landing:-
Gills fully open : Run engine at 800 ~900 rpm. until cool:
Stop engine and leave throttle at full, Mixture at normal,
Prop at slow and all electrics off.
