CFS2 Me 209 V4
===============
History
=======
On April 26, 1936, the world was informed that a specially modified version of the Luftwaffe's single-seat fighter had raised the wourld air speed record to 755,11 km/h (469,22 mph). However, the so-called 'Me 109 R' record breaking machine bore no relationship to the Bf 109 fighter other than a common design team, for it was in fact the first prototype of an entirely new design, the Me 209, build especially for the record attempt and fitted with a Daimler Benz DB 601 ARJ, a special engine giving 1325 kW (1800 HP), 1690 kW (2300 HP) for a one minute burst.

Later, Messerschmitt tried to make a fighter out of the Me 209. One experimental plane was built, the Me 209 V4. The flight tests showed that this plane was too difficult to fly for a average-trained pilot. In 1942-1943 another aircraft was developed, the Me 209 V5, which should compete with the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D and the Focke-Wolf Ta 152, but when the Me 209 A was ready for production, the others were in mass-production. After cancelation the development was continued under the designation Bf 109 L.

Flying the model
================
This plane is a fair, fast flying machine. Take care however on take off, you get much torque. Hold right rudder and brakes.
-Shift+E opens canopy
-'O' Trigers cannon.
