Istanbul Atatürk Airport (LTBA) is the larger of the two international airports of Istanbul and is among the busy airports of Europe. In year 2000 , LTBA had a total passengers of 7,7 million and with total number of flights of 122,437. (Airport operator web site ; http://www.ataturkairport.com/en/indexframe.html)
Istanbul is my home city and my quite subjective judgement of course is that it is one very beautiful city , even more prettier seen from above.
I think LTBA will be a good addition to your MSFS 2002 South European airports. The airport is not only a major destination for airliners but also a starting point for a nice VFR flight over the city of Istanbul and the sea of Marmara.
I did my best to have the scenery running smoothly on your system.All models were developed with GMAX, texture sizes kept low and default runways&taxiways of fs2002 were maintained. Except for gmax,I had a very limited use of airport 2.60 and just for aligning some taxiways and excluding buildings. Many thanks to the developers of this user friendly program.
Consider this package as "version one" to provide you a satisfactory flight experience over this major airport with very decent frame rates. I intend to come up with the second version in a few months , with much enriched features and coverage.
Installation
------------
Extract the file Ltba_2002.zip, which will create a folder named ltba_2002, having two subdirectories;
scenery and texture.
Move the Ltba_2002 folder to your FS2002\scenedb directory and you should have now a structure of FS2002\scenedb\Ltba_2002
with subdirectories called "scenery" and "texture".
Start FS2002 and using the scenery library, add the above scenery folder as Ltba_2002.
