Austrian Airforce Air Base Wiener Neustadt West (LOXN)
The Austrian Airforce Air Base Wiener Neustadt West (LOXN) near Vienna is the biggest and oldest grass airfield of Europe. It has 6 runways.
It was build in 1909. After World War II it was used by Soviet Troops until 1955. MIG 15 Jets operated from LOXN.
1955 it was given back to Austria. Today it is the center of paratroopers of the Austrian Army (Bundesheer) and the special forces.
