Bell Helicopter Textron Model 206B Jetranger III N250CA
- Intro -
Hello and thankyou for downloading my FS2000 version of the Bell 206B Jetranger III
helicopter that was used by the LAPD in 1983. The helicopters also made a large
appearance in the film of the same year, "Blue Thunder", which dealt with police
helicopters as a central theme. I urge you to see this film if you haven't already.
- Installation -
This release consists of:
new paint job - LAPD_JETRANGER\TEXTURE\BELL_206B_T1.bmp
new paint job - LAPD_JETRANGER\TEXTURE\BELL_206B_T1l.bmp
new paint job - LAPD_JETRANGER\TEXTURE\BELL_206B_T1r.bmp
new AIR file - LAPD_JETRANGER\LAPD_JETRANGER.AIR
new CFG file - LAPD_JETRANGER\AIRCRAFT.CFG
Unzip the contents and a new folder named "LAPD_JETRANGER" should be created with all files and folders inside. Place into the AIRCRAFT folder of FS2000. If installed correctly, this installation will not overwrite the original Bell 206B. You will be able to select "Bell 206B JetRanger 1983 LAPD" as well as the original 206B. This LAPD 206B requires the original 206B to be installed in it's default location for the Panel to work.
- Sounds -
Make sure to download the Jetranger replacement sound package earlier released by
Uplink Productions earlier this year.
- Dynamics -
The .AIR file has been tweaked for maximum yawing performance in a slow-speed or
hover situation. This is more realistic of real Jetrangers.
- Notes -
The Jetranger model is a repaint of the default Bell 206B Jetranger III originally
shipped with all copies of FS2000. Therefore, it carries over the same searchlight
at night and the running lights.
