Boeing 737-300 - Aircraft Model For Microsoft’s© FS2002 V 1.0

Model, Textures and Panel by Jon Murchison

B737-300 (Air New Zealand, Freedom Air ‘Banana’ & traditional, Qantas)
The Boeing 737-300 was the successor to the hugely successful 200 series. Sporting a reshaped tail fin, longer fuselage and larger wings, the 300 also has the more powerful CFM engines allowing it a steeper takeoff angle, higher cruise speeds and greater fuel efficiency. The 733 was initially introduced in New Zealand on Air New Zealand and Freedom Air’s Trans Tasman flights between New Zealand and Australia. In December 2001 Air New Zealand retired its last 732 and now operates a full 733 fleet domestically. Freedom Air and Qantas also operate fleets of 733’s on domestic main trunk services, with Freedom offering budget fares and Qantas and Air New Zealand full service flights.

INSTALLATION:
Due to the size of some of the textures for this model and the fact there are four liveries, I have split the file into two components, 733_1 and 733_2. You will need both these files to successfully install the model.

The 733_1 folder contains this READ_ME, the ARNZ_733 self installer file and a plain text version of the READ_ME.

The 733_2 folder contains 2 large bitmap textures for the virtual cockpit.

The self-installer is designed to automatically create the necessary folders in the correct FS directory. The default is:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\aircraft\ARNZ_733

IMPORTANT: Please ensure you check this during the install process when prompted, and adjust to suit your own computer system if required.

Double click the self installer and follow the instructions. Once installed, open your FS2002 aircraft folder and look for the ARNZ_733 folder. Open this and you will see 4 folders called texture -. Minimize this screen and unzip the 733_2 folder. Open it and then select both files 3 and 3_LM. Now copy and paste these files into each of the texture folders in your ARNZ_733 folder. Once done folders texture, texture.1, texture.2 and texture.3 should all have copies of files 3 and 3_LM.

That’s it, you’re done. Now load FS2002, open your aircraft selection screen and under Manufacturer look for Boeing 737-300 and then choose your airline.

COMPATIBILITY:
This version is optimised for FS2002; however it will work in FS2000.

KNOWN ISSUES:
Like all my models, the 733 is still a work in progress. The main gear bays are non-existent and are on my list for a future build of the model. Any input you would like to make is welcome, but no guarantees are made they will be included.
