The scenery was based on gathered photos and Jeppesen approach and airport plates corrected to April 2002.
This scenery is displaced slightly from the default scenery and is corrected to real life coordinates. An exclude file is included to shield out the original default and must be placed in the same file as the main bgl to ensure that the default airport will remain hidden.
Because of this slight correction AI aircraft may not appear to land on the runways or taxi and park off taxi and ramp areas. See the Add On section for help if you should want to correct this issue, although you will need the AFCAD add-on in order to make the changes.

RECOGNITIONS
First of all I would like to thank Pascal Meziat for the great initial work done on the Airport program. I have been using some version of this program for quite a few years now and have never found any payware or shareware that comes close to matching what Pascal has given us designers.
Subsequently the follow up and continued work by Tom Hiscox with the development of Airport for Windows which keeps getting more functional with each use. If it wasnt for Toms help early on with another project this one would not have come to fruition.
I would also like to thank Rafael Sanchez for his great Nova program which allowed me to detail and texture the structures. Rafael makes the impossible possible and I seem to discover some new way of using the program everyday.
Most importantly I would like to thank all of you who participate in discussions on bulletin boards, which gave me a lot of the answers to problems I needed to complete this project.
PACKAGE CONTENTS
Within this package you will find the necessary, bgl, exclude and flatten files needed to correctly run the scenery in FS2K2 as well as the necessary texture files. Some of these texture files are unique to the scenery and will not be found elsewhere.
The zip file is broken into two other zip files in order to help out with installation.
There are also default MSFS2K2 textures used throughout the scenery. These are not included.
No other add-on texture files should be needed as I have included all of the Nova and Airport textures required for convenience.
INSTALLATION
Installation is straightforward. All that is needed is for you the user to decide where you want it placed on your hard drive. My suggestion is that you create a folder in your FS2K2 SCENEDB folder and title it whatever you like and then create two sub folders, one titled scenery and the other titled texture.
All bgl files should go into the scenery folder and all bmp, r8, etc. files should however be placed in your main texture folder. Leave the scenery folder texture empty.
The scenery should index correctly within flightsim if you add it normally through the world library. It should be recognized once selected but you might have to possibly adjust your configuration file.
Should you have to manually add the scenery, it can be found in you main FS2K2 folder, titled scenery.cfg. The following lines show how the indexing should appear. Note the line AREA.xxx, should contain the last scenery index number.
Included in this package are the new Midfield Terminal at Metro and the new parallel runway. The old gates at the Davey and Smith terminals are still functional also giving you lots of parking choices.
There are also parking areas at the FBO/General Aviation areas.
I did not add any taxi lines for a couple of reasons. One is obviously to save some frame rate, although this is not as much an issue as it used to be with FS2K2. The other is simply to me personally it creates a visibility problem if not done correctly when making an approach. I just decided to live without them.
Another feature I left out was signage at the airport. This once again is a packing issue in wanting to keep the bgls files small enough. There are some great sites out there to grab an airport diagram if you need it. One of these is Clearance Unlimited. You will also find all the approach plates you will need.
You can find the airport information at AirNav.
ADD ONS
I am working on some traffic files to correct the AI problems using AFCAD and Traffic Tools 1.2. I have gotten success thus far in creating pretty good traffic files which incorporates the use of two runways.
This project is a recent development and there are a few hurdles that need to be jumped before I can implement them as part of a package. I will probably release them at a later date.
