Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport - KCLE - by Kambiz Agazi (kagazi)

KCLE_KA.bgl is a modification to the FSX default KCLE. Some of the changes include:

1. Airline Terminal assignments per official Airport Website with many gate assignments accurate as well;
2. Ramp parking areas reworked to accommodate more Challenger sized GA;
3. All cargo parking assignments per official Website;
4. Additional FDX and UPS parking added per satellite images;
5. Additional commuter gate parking added per official website and satellite images;
6. All runway lights, approach lights/equipment, markings and blastpads added or revised per airnav and virtual earth;
7. All airport scenery now shows at normal scenery density;
8. All runways activated using the crosswind runway technique;
9. Runway 6C-24C has been decommissioned per real world condition and is currently assigned Taxiway C;
10. Runway 6R-24L has been modified and extended to match current conditions – new taxiways and land class added at 6R;
11. Taxiway signs have been modified to reflect new taxi patterns, the extension of 6R-24L, and the closure of 6C-24C;
12. Additional fuel trucks and vehicle paths reworked;
13. All new ILS, RNAV(GPS), GPS and NDB (where appropriate) approaches with transitions and missed approaches per the most current plates - it was necessary to redo the final approaches for all runways as many waypoints have changed; and
14. New main control tower added and second ramp tower added to the COAx commuter Terminal per aerodrome chart;

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
• Runway 6C-24C was decommissioned at the time Microsoft was releasing FSX. I have decommissioned the runway in this new version.
• Also, runway 6R-24L was modified from its previous location. 6R was extended with an offset threshold and 24L was shortened to eliminate encroachment onto runway 10-28.
• All runway specifications per airnav.
• The approach holds are HF (hold to a fix) types. You will receive a vector to final once the heading of the plane matches the approach heading.

Installation: Place KCLE_KA.bgl AND KCLE_KA_CVX.bgl in a scenery folder of your choice - don't forget to activate the scenery in FSX. One location could be the Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\Scenery folder. Start up FSX and the scenery will be active.

Note: KCLE_KA.bgl AND KCLE_KA_CVX.bgl should be placed at a higher scenery priority level in FSX as compared to other scenery in the area including UTX USA or other state or local scenery. To uninstall, simply remove/delete the files.

I have tested KCLE using FSX sp2, and while I don't anticipate issues with using the earlier versions (RTM and SP1), I cannot guarantee that the visuals will look the same on every setup. While not needed for the scenery to work, I also tested to ensure that KCLE works with UTX USA, Scenery Tech North America and FS Genesis USA 10m Mesh;

KCLE was tested with and optimized for MyTraffic X 5.2a and WOAI. While KCLE will work with "other" AI packages, I can't guarantee that every airline will park at the correct Terminal when using other AI packages.

While every attempt was made to eliminate errors, there's no such thing as "perfect" scenery. Please let me know if you come across any MAJOR errors or problems.

Acknowledgements: KCLE_KA.bgl AND KCLE_KA_CVX.bgl were created using the powerful airport design utility by Jon Masterson (ADE V1.40). Please visit here: http://www.airportdesigneditor.co.uk for more information. The new ILS, RNAV(GPS), GPS and NDB approaches with transitions and missed approaches were created using the latest official plates and ADE V1.40. A special thanks to Jim Vile who is a member of the ADE team and is the author of the approach code module of ADE. The IAPs, final approaches and missed approaches to all runways would not have been possible without Jim's KIAD tutorial and help.

Happy Flying!
