description=prototype Jaguar marine la France réalise un prototype désigné Jaguar M, destiné à son aéronautique navale et modifié pour opérer depuis un porte-avions. Il fait son premier vol le 14 novembre 1969 et effectue plusieurs campagnes d'essais : appontages simulés sur piste à Nîmes, tests sur une catapulte au sol au Royaume-Uni, puis essais en mer à partir du porte-avions Clemenceau. Cette version est cependant abandonnée début 1973 : d'une part le Jaguar s'avérait sous-motorisé, d'autre part il aurait fallu renforcer les catapultes et le pont des porte-avions ce qui générait évidemment un surcoût élevé.
