INSTALLATION OF TREES AND VILLAGES:

SO WHERE ARE THE TREES? Bush scenery relies heavily on trees, and the included landclass files add them through the use of autogen.

The two steps below are optional, but will add more trees and villages to the airports in this package. The suggested utilities by Ed Truthan or Gerrish Gray increase the density of the autogen trees and improve their looks greatly. I strongly recommend these autogen utilities . Either will create realistic broad stands of dense conifers. Combined with the landclass files included in this package the results are quite good. The utilities are easy to install, and unlike the trees scenery we designers usually use, they have a very low impact on frame rates. Both Ed's and Gerrish's trees are excellent, but they vary quite a bit in appearance. You might want to try them both.

Download either or both at SurClaro.com.

Look for "conifers.zip" or do a search of "Ed Truthan",
-----------or-----------
Look for "MSTrees2.zip" or do a search of "Gerrish Gray".

If you decide to use Gerrish's trees, make sure you use MSTREES2.ZIP. He has three versions out there, but this one has the conifers.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Download and install conifers.zip or MSTrees2.zip as per the instructions included with those utilities. (This is optional, but if you want to make approaches over thickly forested landscapes, I recommend these utilities).

2. Place the files in the landclass folder (included in this download) directly into the main FS2002 SCENERY folder. (This is also optional, but this step adds more trees and villages near airports.
