George Bush Shareware Scenery

For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.

Unzip the contents of the zip file to a temporary folder.

Two folders, two additional zip files, and jpeg images are included. The folders are: 1)Scenery and 2)Texture. (The full versions include additional sceneries, effects, and night textures.)

Install the contents of each folder as follows:

Scenery - insde this folder are two separate scenery folders 1)GB_wh04 2)GB_tex
Copy these two folders to your simulator ADDON SCENERY folder.

Texture - inside this folder is one Bitmap texture. Copy this to your simulator main Texture folder (don't place it in any individual scenery folder, because it is shared by both sceneries).

Open the zip files POF and BQB to a folder of your choice, and review the images and information about the full versions.
Important! After downloading one of the full versions, before installing it, you must first uninstall the GB sceneries, or they will overlap, and appear at the same time.

To activate the sceneries, start Flight Simulator. Click on 'Settings'. Click on 'Scenery Library'. Click on 'Add Area'. A dialog box will open showing all FS file folders. Click, or double click on 'ADDON SCENERY'. This folder opens, and all addon sceneries are displayed in the dialog box. Scroll as necessary until you see GB_wh04. Click on it once to select it, then click OK on the dialog box.

Repeat this selection, for GB_tex, and click OK. Each scenery name should appear in the active scenery file list with a check mark in the small check box at the beginning of each scenery name. If there is no check mark in the small box to the left of the scenery file name, click in the small box and a check mark should appear. Then click OK at the bottom of the active scenery list screen and return to the Create a Flight' screen.

To go to the scenery locations, select your prefered aircraft and time of day. Then open the current location screen. Near the bottom of this screen, click on the 'Search Add-on Scenery' button. The two GB scenery names should appear in the scrollable list: Whitehouse, and Texas. Select one of these and an 'Airport Name' entry point will show up on the left side of the screen. Click OK at the tab on the bottom of the screen to go back to the main 'Create a Flght' screen. Click OK on this screen to go to your selected location.

If you do not see the default Whitehouse when you go to this location, you may have to adjust your scenery display settings to a higher level of 'Autogen density' or 'Scenery complexity'.

For the Texas scenery, you can also use the Country, State, and City filters to select Crawford Texas, or airstrip: 22TS, the Flying Nd Ranch.
