A 'next generation' panel for single engine props in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. Original work by Bob Proulx (g1000pnl.zip), modified by Greg Gott. Freeware!

Thanks for checking out this new glass panel suitable for single engine prop planes with retractable or fixed gear and constant speed props. Features large screen PFD, EHSI, GPS, RMI, and more. Also, I have retained the default virtual panel.

Many thanks to Bob Proulx who first released the panel, which then motivated me to carry it a bit further. You get to decide if I improved it or not!

Panel testing was done using the default C182/182RG and the Mooney Bravo at 1280x1024x32 display settings.

*** I've included panel configuration files for both a fixed and retractable gear aircraft, located in 'C182' or 'Mooney Bravo' folders, respectively***

Install:

>First, I recommend making a copy of your default panel folder by renaming it or storing safely elsewhere.

1) Unzip the 'gauges.zip' archive and install its contents into the main Flight Simulator 9\Gauges folder.

2) Simply copy the 'panel.cfg' of your choice into the 'panel' folder within this archive.

3) Cut/paste said panel folder into the aircraft of your choice.

NOTES:

** The right MFD can be toggled between the engine/fuel gauges and the main EHSI. The lower right knob (see pic) will do the trick.

** The radios displayed in the right MFD will NOT allow for frequency changes (unless you edit your aircraft.cfg file). Instead, I have included a rack of Bendix King radios which will save you the hassle.

** Heading and course settings are done with the small HSI next to the standby attitude indicator.

** The DME 2 gauge requires a manual power up with each flight.

Enjoy!
