description=This particular aircraft currently resides at the South African Airforce Museum at Swartkops, Pretoria. It is being stripped to serve as a gate guard. South Africa was the largest operator of the Aermacchi MB-326 type - even surpassing Italy. In SAAF service, the 'Impala' MkI was used as an excellent jet-aviation trainer and formation aerobatics aircraft. This aircraft type was the first to be entirely locally manufactured under licence and served the SAAF for over a period of more than 30 years. A beautiful, clean aircraft design, it is affectionately known as the "Imp".  \n\nThis model is dedicated to the memory of Bruce McFarlane\n\nBuilt by Björn Büchner\nOctober 2003
