HAWAII o5

FS2004 only

Requirements-Lago FSE is required for the mass palm tree, other trees, moving objects and sounds portion of this file.
If you have FSE it must be the FS2004 version and not the Fsse FS2002 version.
You will also need the new (Sound pack 3) installed for the sounds available free download at (Lagosim.com)
Note - if you have the new FSE 1.10 version installed you can uninstall it-re-install the original
FSE -copy the texture folder from it and save it somewhere - /// re- install ver. 1.10 back again and copy
and overwrite the 1.10 texture folder with the original one for two choices of texture-the reason why is
the new palm tree textures turn them blue and you may prefer the green version..
Various links to lago downloads(all 3 sound files ect) are included plus the 1.3 update itself is in this
package. Some simmers have trouble with FSE ... my only solution is read the fourums at their site and
make sure you install every thing in order ..FSE,then FSE 1.3 update, sound pack 1,then 2 then 3. I have had no
problems except minor stuff.

First - you may need an up to date pc (processor) for this file to play good - pentium 4? - ok
experiment with the settings options in FS2004 - set everything except(ground scenery cast shadows)
and (water effects) to its highest settings- the ground scenery cast shadows option will kill this file
using Lago FSE scenery enhancer - it should auto turn this off anyway

1 A few things to copy first-Copy the (HAWASCENE) folder into the ADDON scenery folder of FS2004
2 Open the (effects) folder (here) and copy and paste all the fx files in there to your effects
folder of FS2004.(note -you may already have (fx_forestfire.fx) or some of the others that are
from my other files - either overwrite or dont
3 Copy the (HAW 05 FLIGHTS) into the flights folder of FS2004
4 Open the (lago) folder here and are all the files to copy into your FS2004 Lago folder...
a. Copy the 2 files (HONOSCENE04.SE2,Hawaii05.SE2) into FS2004-Lago/FSE/Data- folder
b. Copy the file (HONOSCENE04.OSC) into your FS2004 - Lago/Commmon/Tracks - folder
c Copy the file (HONOSCENE04.SC) into your FS2004-Lago/Common/Sounds - folder

5 Copy the (MagnumH500D)Folder into your FS2004 aircraft folder (note - if you already have one of Bjorn's Hughes500D
helos installed you can just edit the arcraft.cfg file and copy the new textures in to save space-Read the instructions
inside the Magnum500D folder by Peter M. Ridge.

5 Now ready to go-Start FS2004 and add the scenery area (HAWASCENE)-at main menu click (SETTINGS) then (SCENERY LIBRARY)
and a box appears-then OPEN the (ADDON SCENERY) folder and find the (HAWASCENE) folder and SINGLE click it to highlight it
and at the bottom right of the box click OK-then click OK again at the bottom main menu-Now the scenery is added and
at any time you can open the (SCENERY LIBRARY) and turn it OFF or BACK ON.-(NOW YOU MUST EXIT FS2004 @ RESTART IT)

NOW START FS2004---4 Now go to (SELECT A FLIGHT) and scroll to (HAW 05 FLIGHTS)
you will find the flights labeled-Start any of this and when the
flight starts hit the (alt) key on keyboard and the menu will appear up top and you will see LAGO up there
scroll it to START PLAYER and start it and its scenery files will load (sometimes it may take a bit or there
will be white or green loading boxes) it will only-(this is if U dont already have LAGO FSE scenery enhancer installed)
play the scenery in the areas they are created. OR select Register to online your registration...so the file will play..

for more info read the Lago manual for creating your own - its simple but takes some time...

Troubleshooting - Do you load an aircraft in FS9 and some of the textures or all textures are missing?
My solution to keep from restarting your PC is to make copies of your favorite aircraft texture folders from
the FS9 (Aircraft) folder and save them somewhere- so when you load a flight and (say)> the default cessna has no textures
on it you can exit FS9 and copy the texture folder for it that you saved somewhere and paste and overwrite it in the FS9
(aircraft) folder of the cessna - restart FS9 and load the same flight and the textures are there (it works every time) and
works for all aircraft (default and 3rd party)

The microsoft 9.1 update download may help with framerates,it does for my FS,great job, make sure you download it
and try it.It has an uninstall placed in the FS9 folder so dont be afraid of it..

SLOW LOADING of FS9 ..? I have found this is due to having too many addon aircraft that you download and put in your aircraft
folder.Fs9 when it first loads has to scan all the aircraft as it boots up and the more you have - the longer it takes...
sO..if you are a scenery creator this is frustrating as you want to quickly load FS9 and slew to your work to see it and
make changes ect -exit,make changes, load Fs9 again..The solution is to copy and paste all the aircraft you dont use somewhwere
and save them from the FS9 (aircraft) folder then delete them in the FS9 aircraft folder..You can always copy and paste
them back in to use them again..there is no setting them up again just leave any guages ect in the guages folder
NOTE -you can delete even the FS9 default aircraft this way-just save backups of everything for pasting them back in...
