FS2002 Panels - Gotha G.1 Ursinus and G.1 UWD
---------------------------------------------

Gauges by Claudio Mussner
Panels by Stephan Scholz

There are two different panels for use with the Gotha G.1 Ursinus Grosskampfflugzeug (Landplane) and Wasserdoppeldecker (Seaplane).

Installation:
--------------

1) Unzip the contents of the "G1pnls.zip" file into a temporary folder.
It contains 2 aircraft folders with the names of the Gotha G.1 planes for which the panels are intended. Copy the panel folder inside this folder into the corresponding plane in the FS2002 aircraft folder. It contains the Panel bitmaps and panel.cfg file.

2) IMPORTANT: These gauges have been programmed with "EasyGauge" and require the file Gaugesound.dll, which you will find enclosed, to be copied into the main FS2002 directory, otherwise FS2002 will crash.

3) Unzip the gauges from Gauges.zip into the main FS2002 gauges directory.

4) Copy the Bitmap "G1yoke" into both panel folders. It is the Yoke Bitmap.

Panels and Instruments
----------------------

Updated panel and vintage instruments including complete set of low-RPM and oil pressure gauges for both engines, to substitute the previous incomplete set.

In these early aircraft, instruments were in reality few and far between. No information is available as to the instrument layout, so the panel configuration is based largely on the Gotha G.IV flight deck.
The instruments themselves, however, are indeed authentic, and were used on later Gotha, A.E.G. and Friedrichshafen Grossflugzeug.

Historically authentic inclinometer, temperature, oil-pressure (engine 1 and 2) gauges are included. The panel has been modified slightly for the new layout.

The clock has been left out as pilots in those times wore very accurate and expensive wrist watches! The inclinometer nicely completes the panel. This early, peculiar instrument gives separate lift readings for left and right wings! The liquid in its twin glass tubes detects both rolling and pitching!

Fuel-tank selector, air speed indicator, altimeter, turn-coordinator, throttle gauges and compass are the same as in the previous version of these panels, and are not included with this upload.

Extensive research has gone into the creation of these remarkable gauges, programmed with "Easygauge" by Claudio Mussner.

"EasyGauge" is a program exclusively designed for non-programmers, who
are willing to create real C++ gauges for the flight simulator without studying a programming language. For more features, please check out www.easygauge.net

Special thanks go to Mr. Cohausz from Munich for his inestimable help regarding the historical accuracy of the inclinometer, temperature and oil pressure gauges.

Legal stuff:
------------
This panel and these instruments are freeware.
No responsibility is taken for any loss or damage incurred directly or
indirectly from their use. The original unaltered files may be freely
distributed, uploaded, downloaded and shared, on condition that proper credit is maintained, and of course, no financial gain whatsoever is made.

Anyway, enjoy!
