Furnace Creek in Death Valley for Flight Simulator 2002

Designed with Airport 2.6 build 144 and FS Designer Pro. Many custom
objects (almost all) are based on photos and have photo textures. Thank you for
trying my scenery, hope you enjoy it.

Suggested installation:

Step 1: If you're using winzip just extract using folder names to the
folder where you put your add-on scenery in. Example: C:\FS2002\Scenery

Step 2: Start FS2002

Step 3: Click on World (Alt-W), go to the SCENERY LIBRARY, go to "Add
Area" and find the folder "FurnaceCreek" in c:\FS2002\Scenery\ (or the folder
you used in step one). Name it "FurnaceCreek" and click "Ok".

Step 4: This installation is set up for the standard FS2002 terrain mesh.
If you do not have any higher resolution mesh for Death Valley, go to step 5.
If you have installed a 38 meter terrain mesh (like the FSGenesis National Parks package),
some objects will not display correctly. REPLACE the two files in the scenery folder
(FurnaceCreekInn-4-150m.bgl and FurnaceCreekInn-4-150m.xcl) with the two in the root folder
(FurnaceCreekInn-4-38m.bgl and FurnaceCreekInn 4 38m.xcl). Do not leave both set of files
in the scenery folder or you will get a double set of objects.

Note: I have not tried this scenery with 75 meter mesh terrain. If you have this resolution mesh
terrain, try both to see which one works better. (The area that is a problem is behind the Inn
and the hill with the square monument on top.)

Also, this scenery is optimized for the 38 meter
FSGenesis National Parks package, and I highly recommend it.

Step 7: Move the effect file in the effects folder to the main FS2002 effects folder.

Step 6: CLOSE FS2002

Step7: Start FS2002

Finding Furnace Creek

Furnace Creek is in Death Valley, California. You can use the FS2002 GOTO AIRPORT
