Readme file for FISELER FI-156C STORCH
FS2002/2004
Thanks for downloading this plane!
The Fi-156 Storch (stork) was one of the few Luftwaffe planes to be better than any Allied counterpart. Going and living anywhere the German army went, the Storch proved up to any task put before it.
Often needing nothing more than a small patch of ground to take off and land, the Storch's incredible low speed flying was it's best defence. It was said the Storch's front line lifespan was 10 times that of the Bf-109!
Fi-156's served with numerous airforces before, during, and after WW2, such as Sweden, Spain(Condor Legion), Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Viet Nam, Laos, and France. Many captured samples served in the RAF, and some are still on the civil registry in several countries.

Installation:
Make new Folder in your FS02/04\Aircraft folder, label it FI-156C_STORCH_fs
After downloading the zip, locate it, using your Computer Explorer, Winfile, etc. Double-click on it and extract the file to your FI-156C_STORCH_fs folder.Everything should end up in the right place/folder.

Copy the gauges into your Sim's Gauges Folder
Copy the GaugeSound.dll file into your FS Main Folder. Easygauge 2.0, what I used to make gau's, says this file is needed. If it causes problems, see if it's really needed. Maybe you can get away without it. This goes for both 02 and 04.
Copy the fx_vclight_yellow file into your sim's Effects folder.

NOTAMS:
If you already have my CFS2 Storch installed in FS02/04, you might want to remove it before installing the FS version. Having both planes in the sim may cause strange things to happen, like overwritten panel files, tex's, etc. Least it does on my computer....
If you know your way around .cfg files, I'm sure you can mix and match panels and tex's to suit your needs.
While the flaps can be set to 70 degrees, you never really need any more than 40-50 degrees.
The 70 degree setting was more for maintenence than flight.

For added fun, try taking off and landing in a 25 kt. headwind. With practice, you can land on a large helo pad.

This aircraft was tested in FS2002 and FS2004 :
Flight Model set to HARD
Plane Textures set to HIGHEST
Screen res set to 1024X768X32

Computer:
P4 1.5 GHZ
768 MB RAM
ATI 9600 128MB RADEON Vidcard
TM Cougar HOTAS/CH Pro Pedals
Results with your Computer and Sim Settings may vary.

Enjoy!
This aircraft was built to the best of my skills and knowledge. I don't mind constructive comments, or how-to's, but "This Sucks!" type e-mails will be ignored. As for repaints, new versions, etc. I have no idea if, when, or what. So please, no "placing orders".
These files shouldn't harm your computer, but I accept no responsability for their use and effect.
Play with it,do repaints, give to friends or enemies, but do not make money off of it without my express approval. Also,if you want to re-post on your site, or another site, please ask me first:) I usually say yes, unless my plane been too corrupted or hacked by you or others.
