*******FS2000 ISSUES********
IMPORTANT!!

1)
This scenery needs to'flatten' the default FS2000 scenery around the Channel Islands, this
is done by edited the scenery.cfg file found within the FS2000 folder. However there is
a bug within FS2000!, if you paste in the Flatten command and start FS2000 it works fine,but
if you should at any time access the Scenery menu within FS2000 (rather than edit the scenery.cfg,
which does the same job) FS2000 will delele all the flatten commands, meaning you have to exit,
edit it again and restart FS2000 :(

The Good news is that microsoft have released a patch which will fix this and other bugs,
visit http://www.microsoft.com/games/fs2000/downloads_fsupdate.htm to download. The bad news its 6.6MB!

To flatten the default FS2000 Channels Islands paste this into your FS2000 scenery.cfg file

Flatten.0=-2,N49 59,W002 48,N49 59,W001 56,N49 07,W001 56,N49 07,W002 48

Example of how it should look:
[Area.075]
Title=UK 2000 part1 Channel
Local=SCENERY\UK2000p1\scenery
Active=TRUE
Layer=75
Flatten.0=-2,N49 59,W002 48,N49 59,W001 56,N49 07,W001 56,N49 07,W002 48

Your 'Area' number will be different depending on other sceneries installed

2)
You can also choose not to use my Mesh scenery which will remove the need to flatten the
FS2000 scenery as described above. To do this remove the file called uk2p1a.bgl

3)
FS2000 does not use the same night lighting system as FS98 and as a result some of the
FS98 lighting affect are not present in FS2000.

4)
FS2000 has another problem!, I battled for 5 weeks to try and get rid of the 'rough'
surface at the airports, I have 'half' managed to do this at Jersey and Guernsey but I
cant to anything about Alderney.

At Guernsey and Jersey, if start your flight there or position your self there, the taxi surface
is smooth, but! if you land it becomes rough!. Beleive me I've tried everything to fix it, but
after 5 weeks I had to give up. There are some 'work arounds' to this anoying FS2000 fault.
After you have landed, click on your scenery menu and click the tick button, your scenery will
reload and the problem goes! Or you use Spot view to taxi, yes the plane still jumps around but
at least your view point stay the same.

If and when Microsoft reveal the secrets behind there new engine, I will make a patch, but this
can't be garenteed.

5)
To make the airports visable in FS2000 I needed to raise them a little, so Jersey
is 1 Metre higher, Alderney is 1 Metre higher and Guernsey is 3 Meters higher, put
that one down to microsoft.
