MS CFS Enthusiasts, submitted for your approval, as a follow up to my more authentic CFS Bullet Impact Metal Sound replacement (MetalRnd.zip), here is 1 of 2 New Replacement Sets of Fire and Damage Amplified Sea and Land Objects.
In the continuing interest of adding a lot more realistic chaos to our CFS experience, I have increased the life span duration and fiery visibility of most of those land and sea items which usually just sit there smoking or simply disappear when minimally damaged. A lot of the time the smaller objects are not really very visible and so can not be appreciated. Even large ships and buildings offer very little visual excitement when damaged. Dark smoke is the most you can expect from all of these objects which for the most part are really just taking up space., Until now!
I've retailored 22 SHIP OBJECTS in FIRESHIP.zip and 88 pertinent LAND OBJECTS in FIRELAND.zip so that you'll feel a greater sense of urgency in your campaigns/missions and a better appreciation of all those landscape and maritime objects with which CFS has provided us.
INSTALLATION:
Knowing how tedious backing up & copying more than several objects can be, I have included a workhorse of a batch
installer, "FireSHIP.BAT", that will backup/copy All of YOUR replaced files to C:\FIRE_SHIPS\MyShipDPs. After backing up
your old files, if you want, you may also allow FireShip.bat to Copy your newly downloaded SHIP Objects FROM
C:\FIRE_SHIPS to your CFS\Object_dp folder. Note: This auto installation batch file only requires that "C:\FIRE_SHIPS"
is resident in your Root {C:\} directory and that Combat FS is in its' default folder - "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Games\Combat Flight Simulator".
FireSHIP.BAT will be found in the "C:\FIRE_SHIPS" folder. Using this little utility should perform the whole
copy/replace operation in just under a minute.
This convenient batch installation has also been added as my way of thanking you for this download and of expressing my
gratitude for the warm reception so many of you have given to my previous uploaded "MetalRnd" CFS impact sound
replacement.
LIABILITY: None. These files should in no way damage your game or computer.
The only thing you should worry about is becoming too distracted by all of the pyrotechnics going on in odd places
instead of watching the bandits or the ground.
