Aircraft Type: Grumman F7F-3 for FS2004 - An "Unfinished" WIP Project by Members of Sim-Outhouse for the 2011 RTWR

If you downloaded an earlier version of this aircraft, note there are only 3 changes to this version:

1) Model updated with specular lighting
2) ST_D18 gauge added
3) Limits placed on Flap Deployment speeds

You should use this version for RTWR participation.

INSTALLATION

1. Run the Installer to decompress the package to your temporary folder of choice.

2. Open the aircraft folder and copy the F7F-300 folder to your FS2004/Aircraft folder.

3. Open the effects folder and copy the two effects to your FS2004/effects folder.

-----------------------------------------------------

The following must be read to ensure understanding of some of the features and options.

NOTES:

This is an unfinished version of the FS2004 F7F-3 Model by Milton Shupe Prepared for Early Release.

NOTE: This whole aircraft is temporary in terms of its full and complete intended release status. It is all a Work-In-Process. Texture mapping on this release is temporary and will be changed. RePainters Beware.

See the Readme for all the contributor credits please.

Features:

Wing Folding requires the wing fold command setup in the FS2004/Display/Assignments

Drop Tank: The click spot is the Left Most SimiIcon with a downward pointing arrow.

WEP Gauge: On the 2D panel, flip switch for 5 minutes of War Emergency Power. ***Caution***, if you install in FSX, this gauge will not work. Remove gauge30 from Window00 of the panel.cfg and remove the Mape_WEP.gau from the panel folder. WEP is part of FSX and the gauge is not needed.

OPTIONS:

1. Drop Tank: The click spot is the Left-Most SimiIcon.

2. There are provided some load options in the aircraft.cfg. Simply change or comment out the weights.

SOUNDS:

Gary Jones just published these Twin R-2800 sounds with the Tigercat in mind. I think you will enjoy them.

I hope this helps.
