FS2004 Boeing F4B-4
The F4B-4 was the last Navy biplane fighter with fixed landing gear. This model is painted to represent the CAG of VF-6 assigned to the aircraft carrier Saratoga (CV-3) in the early 1930's. It has the usual animations, a pilot figure, a specular color shine, and Nav lights. The 2D panel and VC are based on an actual photo I found in a book called "The American Fighter Plane" by Ted and Amy Williams. The panel calls out the necessary gauges for carrier catapult tke-offs and arrestor gear landings. If you choose this option please note the gauges are not part of this upload, You must download and install the file rcbco-11.zip available at the major sites. This file has exceptionally complete instructions. I recommend you install it in its entirety as there is an interaction between some of the components. All the other gauges are defaults.

INSTALLATION:Unzip F4B4v2.zip into a temporary folder. Copy the file F4B-4 into the Aircraft folder of FS2004. The plane will show as the Boeing F4B-4 under Boeing in the Aircraft Selection list. GAUGES: All but one of the gauges are in the Lockheed_Vega.cab file. If you have not already done so you must copy that file into the FS2004 Gauges folder. Open the FS9 Aircraft folder, go to and open the Lockheed_Vega file and open the panel file. You will see an icon called Lockheed_Vega.cab. Copy that file AS IS into the FS2004 gauges file. You don't have to open it or anything else.

LEGAL: This project is released as freeware. You may modify it, repaint it, etc., upload to another website as long as it is not for profit. You need my written permission to use any of these files for commercial purposes; otherwise just give me credit for the original design. This airplane should not hurt your computer but I am not responsible if it causes problems.
