Thanks for downloading this preview video of the new and upgraded F136!

I edited the video using the NewTek Video Toaster System and software, and compressed it into a self-running .exe file using Rad Video Tools' Bink compression software. The music is from the "Sin City" soundtrack. Use "ESC" to quit the video and the spacebar to pause it.

William Ortis at Lionheart Creations Ltd. created this fantastic, cutting edge jet, and I went ahead and pushed it off the cutting edge. The final, final tweeks are being made to the release package, but you can expect the following (much of this can be seen in the video):

Rocket engine afterburner effect

Mach 4+ "Hyper-mach" effect (Bill explains this better, but basically the plane releases fuel which ignites in the sound cone, pushing the plane forward. The effect is based on real photos of the top-secret Aurora's "donuts on a rope" contrail.)

Animated missiles and massive explosions, activated when the missile bay opens (See video)

Mach speed water displacement effect (Fly low and fast; drown some fishermen. See the VERY beginning of the video.)

Lots of new textures, including Desert Scorpion, Jungle Viper, NASA StarBlade (my personal favorite), Lady Bullet (Lara Croft's personal jet), The Terminator (Arnold's personal jet), Rubik's Plane, WindFury II (named after the dragon in my finished, but as-yet-unpublished novel), Classic Stealth SlingShot (original, but slightly reworked texture), and a steel-looking production-line model that actually may be the best looking of all of them.

New, wavering drag-chute effect (actual effect which may be added to any aircraft if you know what you are doing!)

Engine glow, engine heat, and sonic boom effect by Rob Barendregt (Rob Barendregt's effects and gauges are used by his kind permission)

Auto-closing hatch at high altitudes or speeds

Auto retracting landing gear

Auto deployment of the hyper-mach nozzles and changeover to the hyper-mach effect at Mach 4

Auto takeoff button

Auto landing mode button (only SETS UP for a landing, does NOT land the plane!)

Auto max-speed and height button and sequence

Auto de-orbit burn and drop to destination (scary, but actually works)

Terrain-follow button (set a height above the ground to follow, and the plane will do its best to stay at that radar altitude!)

Highly tweeked flight files, including the new ability to fly "rougher" allowing you to do high-speed dogfighting manoeuvres without overstressing the craft

Tapping the brakes while in flight will turn off all autopilot controls, including terrain follow, landing mode, auto takeoff, and auto-climb and drop sequences

So many more effects and automatic controls that I can't remember them all.

Enjoy the video!
