The fantastic sound barrier effect and sonic boom are from Rob Barendregt's incredible carrier ops package, RCBco-20.zip, not included. If you want the sonic boom effect, YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THIS PACKAGE SEPARATELY, but the F-136 is already configured to use it.
Also, this is an UPDATE PACK for William Ortis' F-136 Slingshot. It DOES NOT include the plane, original gauges, or all the docs. IF YOU DO NOT ALREADY HAVE IT, YOU MUST DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THIS PACKAGE SEPARATELY AS WELL. I believe it can be found at SurClaro and others, but not on , for whatever reason.
----Install----
Make a copy of your own aircraft/F136 folder just in case. The following process will overwrite several of the F136 files!
This plane is pretty straightforward. If you've installed planes with effects and gauges before, then this shouldn't be different.
Copy "F136Package.exe" to a temp directory and run it. Press "extract"
(This is a self-extracting 7-Zip format archive. Why did I use 7-Zip? Recompress the package later with your favorite archiving program, and I bet 7-Zip's will be smaller!)
Inside the newly created folder will be three new folders: "Aircraft," "Effects," "Gauges."
Drag these folders into your root flight simulator folder and say "yes" to overwriting files. The Effects and Gauges folders shouldn't actually overwrite anything, but the Aircraft folder will replace several things in your previously installed "F136" folder.
That's it!
Find the F136 under "USA" in the plane selection screen.
