FS2002/FS2004 McDonnell Douglas F-101B Voodoo in the North Dakota Air National Guard (The Happy Hooligans) paint
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This aircraft repaint is a tribute to my Dad who flew the F-101B for the North Dakota Air National Guard (The Happy Hooligans) from the early 1970s to the late 1970s. He also flew the F-102 Delta Dart and the T-33 for The Happy Hooligans over a 13 year career from the late 1960s to the early 1980s. The North Dakota Air National Guard is based at Hector International Airport in Fargo, North Dakota.

This is also a tribute to the many men and women who gave of themselves serving the North Dakota Air National Guard and to the many men and women serving in the armed forces around the world. THANKS!

This zip file contains all files necessary to fly the F-101B. It also includes a couple of optional modifications to the Flight Sim Voicepack to make your flights more realistic. If you don't like hearing the ATC controllers call your aircraft "Experimental", it's recommended to add the included voicepack modifications, There are three mods, one (NODAK_Callsign.vcpmod) to add the North Dakota Air National Guard callsign (Nodak), a second mod (McDonnellDouglas.vcpmod) to add the aircraft manufacturer (McDonnell Douglas), and a third mod (F101_Model.vcpmod) to add the model number (F-101). It's quite easy to add these modifications to the voicepack using Lars Moellebjerg's freeware utility EditVoicePack. Just download the appropriate EditVoicePack application (there are different versions available depending on whether you use FS2002 or FS2004) here on avsim and follow the instructions to import these voicepack mods.

INSTALLATION:
-------------
Just unzip on the main FS2002 (example: C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/FS2002) or FS2004 directory (example: C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9) and light the burners and hold on tight!!

NOTES:
------
To operate the canopy, use the Shift-E keys to toggle the canopy from open to closed.
To deploy the drag chute on landing, use th slash (/) key to deploy the spoilers. The drag chute will also deploy. Unfortunately, the drag chute will deploy in the air when you use the spoilers which is not realistic but there's nothing I can do about that! Sorry!
