EZ-Terminals SS + scenery object library
by Sidney Schwartz
sidney.schwartz@comcast.net

A collection of terminal buildings suitable for small to very small airports. Also includes a set of the smaller buildings signed as "Customs". All with night lighting.

The + version adds specific compatibility with RWY12, ADE9X, and Sbuilder 2.05. If you have already installed the previous version of this library and are NOT using one of these programs to place scenery objects, you do not need to download and install the + version. The + version also includes the updated textures from SS_Textures_update_1.zip. Installing the + version should not affect any scenery made using objects from V1.

IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT
*****************************
There are two different installation procedures for this scenery object library, "RWY12" and "Everyone Else". The "RWY12" instructions are ONLY for those who will be using the RWY12 program to place these scenery objects in FS9. Install the library using the "RWY12" procedure ONLY if you are creating your own scenery using RWY12! If you are installing the library because you have downloaded a scenery that requires it, follow the "Everyone Else" installation procedure!

The "Everyone Else" installation procedure is for users of EZ-Scenery, Instant Scenery, and pretty much any other program that can be used to place scenery library objects in FS9, EXCEPT RWY12. It is also for anyone who is not creating their own scenery but is installing this library because they have downloaded a scenery that requires it.

I have also included some files to make it easier to use these objects with Luis Sá's Sbuilder and Jon "Scruffyduck" Masterson's Airport Design Editor 9x.

============================
RWY12 Installation Procedure
============================
1. Unzip ez-terminals_ss_+.zip to a temporary location. You should end up with four folders: ADE9X, ALL USERS, RWY12, and SBuilder. You should also have a text file called PLEASE READ.txt and some jpg files. The jpg files can be deleted.

2. Open the ALL USERS folder. Move ez-terminals ss.bgl into your FS9/Addon Scenery/Static Objects Library/Scenery folder. If you are also using the Instant Scenery or EZ-Scenery programs, also move ez-terminals ss.txt into that same folder, otherwise ignore it.

3. Move all the bmp files into your FS9/Addon Scenery/Static Objects Library/Texture folder.

4. Open the RWY12 folder. Move add_ez-terminals_ss.xml into your Rwy12 Object Placer/Rwy12 folder. Move the entire add_ez-terminals_ss, not just its contents, into your Rwy12 Object Placer/Rwy12/img folder.

You're done. The next time you run RWY12 ez-terminals_ss should appear in your Category list, and you should see thumbnails of these objects and be able to place them in FS9.

Everyone Else Installation Procedure
====================================

Move Move ez-terminals ss.bgl into your FS9/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder. If you are using the Instant Scenery or EZ-Scenery programs, also move ez-terminals ss.txt into that same folder, otherwise ignore it.

3. Move all the bmp files into your FS9/Addon Scenery/Texture folder.

OR: If you know how to create and use scenery folders, you may install these files into a scenery folder of your own.

You're done.

================
ADE9X
================
If you are using ADE9X to place scenery objects in FS9, this will allow you to view thumbnails of these objects while placing them. Do the following AFTER you have completed one of the installation procedures above.

1. Go to wherever you unzipped ez-terminals_ss_+.zip and open folder ADE9X.

2. Move the entire ez-terminals_ss.bgl FOLDER, not just its contents, into your Airport Design Editor 9X/FS9/Thumbs folder.

3. If you haven't already, add these objects to the ADE9X Library Object Manager. Consult the ADE9X manual for instructions. Once you've done this, you should see a thumbnail of each object and be able to place the objects in FS9.

========
Sbuilder
========
If you are using Sbuilder to place scenery objects in FS9, do the following AFTER you have completed one of the installation procedures above. This procedure requires that you know how to edit text files.

IMPORTANT: These instructions were tested with Sbuilder version 2.05 revision 6. That is the most current version as of this writing. If you are using an older revision of Sbuilder version 2.05, this may not work. You should go to http://www.ptsim.com/ and download the most current version.

1. Go to wherever you unzipped ez-terminals_ss_+.zip and open folder Sbuilder.

2. Move obj_ez-terminals_ss.txt into your Sbuilder/Tools folder.

3. Open folder ez-terminals_ss_sbuilder and move the CONTENTS of the folder into your Sbuilder/Tools/Bmps folder.

4. Using a text editor, open the file objects.txt in your Sbuilder/Tools folder and add the following line:

include=obj_ez-terminals_ss.txt

Save and close objects.txt.

The next time you run Sbuilder and click to place an object, you should see ez-terminals_ss in the Objects Category list on the Library Objects tab, and a thumbnail image of each object.
