WEATHER CENTER v1.0
Author: Keith Kile

Weather Center v1.0 Expert is a configurable, automatic weather generation application for Microsoft(R) Flight Simulator 2000 and 2002. Weather Center executes in the background while pilots fly, and it constantly updates the current weather based on aircraft position relative to airports and other reporting stations in a world-wide database. The application is fully compatible with the VATSIM air traffic control network. Weather may be downloaded from any requested reporting station, edited, saved, and loaded from disk enabling offline weather simulation.

A brief list of features includes:

- World-wide surface conditions (winds, visibility, precipitation, barometric pressure, and cloud layers)
- Aloft conditions for the nine officially measured and reported layers (US stations only)
- Global aloft wind pattern modeling for transoceanic flights
- Automatic Internet updates including VATSIM compatibility
- Download/Edit/Save/Load aloft and surface conditions
- Smooth wind, temperature, dewpoint, and pressure transitions
- Variable winds simulation
- Convective weather simulation (towering cumulus, thunderstorm, and turbulence)
- Default surface weather for locations where the nearest reporting station is far away
- A sample set of saved weather conditions including tropical storm, hurricane, and blizzard conditions.
- Compatible for use with HTTP proxy servers

A "NOVICE" version of Weather Center v1.0 is available that provides free basic functionality or may serve as an evaluation method for prospective buyers of the "EXPERT" version.
