FS2004 Project GlobeTwotter DeHavilland DHC-6 Twin Otter Saba.

Blured plane: Sometimes the plane is loaded with a blured fuselage on camera view. The easiest way to correct this is to press the 4 and 6 numeric keys, forcing the camera to pass trought the fuselage and "reseting" the "camera focus".

Original model design by Project GlobeTwotter. Gmax modeling by Udo Lemmob. Flight dynamics and flight tuning by Premier Aircraft ( Barry Blaisdell, Steve Small ). Master textures and paint by Samy Fay.

Specially Repainted for "Be A Pilot Club SABA" by Alejandro Hurtado. It carries on the tail two of the most know places of the Saba Island: the Hellsgate and Torrens Point.

Some island facts:

saba 5sq mile island
juancho yrausquin, shortest commercial runway in the world
saba has the highest peek in the nederlands antilles reaching almost 3000 ft with Mt. Scenery
Saba's national flower: Black eyed suzy
saba has about 5-6 daily Winair flight, which provide transportation for the tourists and locals
saba has a population of about 1600 people.
Be a Pilot Club: for this you can feel free to browse our site, and get the exact info that you need, Thanks so much!

Saba's strip 12-30 is 1000 feet from threshold to threshold with about 150 feet
overrun on both ends. The plateau the strip is on is 143 above sea level
with VERY steep cliffs on both ends. There is a limit on winds (Cross Winds
are hard because of the turbulence from surronding terrain - if you want to
check out Saba, try www.mssaba.com) The strip also has a fair incline up
runway 30. The planes usually take-off on 12 unless the tailwind is more
than around 10 knots. Depending on thw winds the load is limited as well. On
a hot day, with no head wind, we would limit our take off weight must be carefully
checked.

Saba is a restricted airport. To fly in there, you had to have specific training.
The airport manager watchs every landing, and if he didn't like the apporach, or
thoughts you was a little sloppy, you know the VA manager will hear about it before
you stop.

Approach ( eg. og std 3* glideslope ):
--------------------------------------
approx. 20 NM out - reduce speed to round 150 KIAS
approx. 10NM out - set first flap and reduce to 125 ( comes by itself )
approx. 7NM out - set next flap and reduce to 110
approx. 4NM out - set full flaps and reduce to 90-100, and let the speed

Warranty:
I love the warranty wrote by Andrew W. Hall:
"None. Zip. Nada. Use at your own risk. I don’t think
this will harm your computer in any way, but if it does, I
don’t even want to hear about it."

A last remark: Why don't become a repainter? There are a lot of planes with special markings. I'm tired of the usual F-16 low-vis scheme, or the usual 757 in Delta markings. Why don't a "Bat's outa Hell's" B-25 or a serie of Qantas 737s? The plane modelers like Project GlobeTwotter are very important, but they can't make all the painting schemes by himselfs. So why don't help they?
