Cranwell College - EGYD United Kingdom

In
1915 the Royal Naval Air Service sought to establish a single unit at
which officers and ratings could be trained to fly aeroplanes, observer
kite balloons and airships. Tradition has it that a young Naval pilot was
briefed to fly around until he found a piece of land that was both large
enough and flat enough for the purpose. It is said that he flew over
Cranwell and thought it quite admirable.

Of the Mike Stones Hanger members, "JasBo" provided the research material. "B1lancer" provided the beta testing and follow-up research. I consider these to fellows as co-authors. Other contributing members include "mulletman," "The Flying Banana Jr," "Dana" and "NWADC9."
Thanks for your encouragement "Tom Clayton." They and others requested that this scenery be done as a tribute to the British Royal Air Force and those who were or are Cadets of Cranwell Air Base - EGYD.

Thanks Mike Stone for putting up with your Hanger members antics.

Afcad parking and gates do not have the air cadet school codes (ACW.)
Retreat cannon effect set to 17:00 hours in front of the college. This scenery is made to blend with autogen scenery (default) in FS9 and does well on my machine.

AFCAD:
I was not provided the actual ramps and taxi designations. I used a common sence approach in naming the taxis and locating the ramps. The afcad blank taxi ways (aprons) are used for the gates roads and parking lots. The afcad is also used for the brick floor of the hangers. The placing of the un-name (blank) aprons is left blank for the reason that they are used for these foundations and roads. So, there's no problem in renaming the ramps (parking codes) and repositoning. There will be no problem in renaming taxi designation names. But, if somebody elses afcad is used, you may want to add the roads and automobile parking lots to that other persons afcad.

Installation:
Simply unzip and put in your addon scenery folder as you normally would for manual install. Start-up FS9 and goto the settings scenery addon page. Then, add scenery name "CranwellAB-EGYD" from where you placed its' folder. Restart FS9 for it to recognize it.

To un-install, repeat, going to scenery addon page and choose delete scenery (CranwellAB-EGYD.) Then mouse-over and confirm deletion. FS9 will un-do it next time it is started.

CranwellAB-EGYD scenery FS9 addon is placed in the Public Domain by me. Enjoy.
