NOTAM: This aircraft is in FS2000 Format !

The FS2000 Standard Edition Patch #2B Program Should be installed.
OR
The FS2000 Professional Edition Patch #2B Program Should be installed.

These *needed* PATCH files are available from microsoft.com and
SurClaro plus other Flightsim sites on the Net.

In FS2000 you can set input for control to less sensitive for more
realistic handling and feel !
But with Jens Borgstroem's new FS2K air file included in this zip, you
should start with controls set to 'middle' (= default setting ).

To install:
-----------
UnZip to your FS2000\AIRCRAFT Folder using WinZip or similar program
making sure the "INCLUDE SUBFOLDERS" Box is checked.

!! Panel and sound are set for *default* = B737 panel and sound !!

Then add your favorite turboprop sound files and panel and go flying.

I can recommend a complete set of sounds named:
fa2ksnd.zip ( for FS2000) by Mike Hambly which can be found at Flightsim .com
These are recordings from an actual C-130
Also you can add the sounds of the C-130 APU with the file 130HQAPU which
can be found at:
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Maze/1190/

This aircraft was created by Barry Blaisdell using AF99 by Abacus Software
and consists of a.o. 16 point round fuselage and 3D parts,
animated control surfaces, moving flaps, animated props and landing gear
- all added using "Aircraft Animator".
It also operating Landing and taxi Lights, special night lighting on
fuselage and .. and ..

Furthermore: Operational Nav Lights and Strobes.
Operational Cargo ramp ( air brake / spoiler key ) and

Included special INFO, manuals asf. ( find in the folder ' 1706_Docs '):
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1)
I point you to the included POH, Pilots Operation Hand Book, for the FSsimmer,
A comprehensive text file with lots of info and also instructions on how to
operate and fly this airplane, based upon a.o. test flights performed by
the author and real life Herc pilot, Tony Cortes, Lieutenant.
The POH, 'HC130_POH.txt' was compiled by Maintenance Technician First Class
(AMT1) David Gillespie, USCG at Kodiak Alaska.

2)
Also included please find a unique TEST FLIGHT REPORT created by real life
pilot, Tony Cortes, Lieutenant, USCG at Kodiak Alaska.
Name of that report is: PilotViev.txt
I am very proud and honored to present this report - when you have read it
I'm sure you'll understand why ! :o)

3)
This particular aircraft's history - well part of it, told by David Gillespie,
you will find in the separate file named: 1706info.txt, rather interesting
reading I might add.

4)
David Gillespie took it upon himself to write an 'essay': A day at the office,
you could call it - a typical day in the life of Herc HC-130H 1706 USCG.
Well, David's headline is 'To Answer The Call'.
Also very interesting - and included in this package in Rich Text Format (RTF)
and named: Answcal2.rtf
