After considerable tweaking and messing I am pleased to have found a nice balance in colour and texture.
Resulting in a more realistic seascape...Hope you will agree and enjoy.

Once extracted you will see two folders, scenery and texture, just copy and paste these folders into your default fs9 folder (example: c:\fs9\) and click yes at the prompt, overwriting all files.
Be sure to make backups of your original files.
Works best with water slider set to high.And remember, with visibility set to unlimited, you see those annoying seams in the textures. This is why I always use 20 - 40 miles visibility.
