FS2002 Pro Beech 18 Volpar

Description: This FSDSv2 project was inspired by my flights as a pilot in a beech 18 volpar based in Hawaii. The Volpar/Beech 18 a truley unique classic aircraft has a nosewheel undercarrige (trycycle gear) in which the main wheels retract completely, and also features a lengthened nose. It also had a revised leading edge for the wing which sweeps back at a greater angle to smaller wing tips. It features full moving parts including rolling wheels, landing gear, etc. The panel is designed by myself and is based on a real photo. By Roger gilbert

Acknowledgements: I wish to sincerely thank Paul Clawson for the help he gave me
in the building of this, my first aircraft, Without out his help it would not have been possible. I also wish to thank Brian Gladden for help with the lights.

INSTALLATION: Unzip bchvol.zip into a temporary folder. Move or copy the Aircraft folder"Beech_volpar" into the aircraft folder of FS2002. go to the gauges folder found inside the "Beech_volpar" aircraft folder and copy the contents into the Gauges folder of FS2002. I used all the standard guages so if you already have them my procedure is to check no when asked if you want a guage replaced. However you may just overwrite them if desired Close everything and fire up FS2002. This plane should show in the Aircraft Selection list under Beechcraft as the Beech 18 volpar.

PANEL: I obtained a beuatiful photo of a custom Beech 18 panel and used it as to create a replica for this aircraft.

SOUND:I have include a radial engine sound file. However I suggest the sound file from Douglas R4D-6 Dc-3 file. Its my favorite but to large to include here.

LEGAL: This project is released as freeware. You may modify it, repaint it, etc., upload to another website as long as it is not for profit. You need my written permission to use any of these files for commercial purposes; otherwise just give me credit for the original design. This airplane should not hurt your computer but I am not responsible if it causes problems.

Have fun: Roger Gilbert
