description=The famous V-tailed Bonanza..  This model is a 1948 (A35), manufactured during the second year of production. This model was identical to the Straight 35 of 1947 with one exception, a the  steeralbe nose wheel.  The Bonanza came was the first airplane of its time to come fully equipped for both day and night VFR flight as well as instrument flying from the factory. The 35 is a  4 seat configuration, a 2550 lb gross weight (1558 lb EW and a 185 hp engine.  The designed cruise speed is 160 mph with a reasonable fuel flow of 10 gph, although the ad's of the day claimed a cruise speed as much as 184 mph.
