FS2002 Bush Flying Unlimited Douglas DC-3

BFU Official Livery

By Jack Osbon, March 2002
Based on the great DDA DC-3 model by Jan Visser.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS is A MUST!!
Requires r4d_2k2.zip and r4dv40up.zip by Roy Chaffin and Bill Rambow.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bush Flying Unlimited is a virtual airline operating in the bush of Alaska, British Columbia, The Yukon Territory and the American Nortwest. The BFU DC3 included in this package is a repaint of the TAF DC-3 which is a repaint of Jan Visser's excellent TDM Freighter model

First, let me Thank You for downloading this file! Hope you may enjoy it as much as I am :-)
I'd like also to thank again all those behind the R4D project (namely Jan Visser, Roy Chaffin and Bill Rambow).

I did NOT supply a panel (DC10) in order to preserve the rights of the R4D-6 team and point to the "official" DC3 panel for you to download as stated above. These are files "r4d_2k2.zip" and "r4dv40up.zip" located at http://www.fltsim.com, and make your DC3 as real as it gets.

The origional readmes are included in case you'd like to know a bit more about it, and because of all the previous CREDITS, too.
***Just disregards any intructions concerning the installation there!***

To install this file
--------------------

(1)
As stated you must have intalled (and registered!) on your system the recent release of the R4D Team for FS2002. You'll need the following files:

r4d_2k2.zip and r4dv40up.zip

If you don't have them already go ahead and download them! Register that great pack, it's well worth the 5 bucks... and what's really remarkable is that the money goes to a noble cause (getting the real NATS Douglas R4D-6 off the ground) and not to the designers. My honest compliments to you fine Gentleman.

(2)
You must have followed the R4D Team instructions about renaming their aircraft folder...

... from "Douglas R4D-6 NATS v4.0" to "Douglas R4D-6"

(3)
Unzip the Bush Flying Unlimited pack (this one) into the main FS2002 folder with the subfolders option checked. Everything will fall into place.
This will create a folder called...

"BFU-DC3"

...inside the main Aircraft folder. The Alaskan Winds birds will look for the R4D for the panel and sounds!

(4)
Now, locate the R4D folder called "Douglas R4D-6". Select the following files....

r4d_2k2_check.txt
r4d_check.cfg
r4d_ref.txt
RC_R4DV1.6.air
RC_R4Dv1.6_notes.txt
***DON'T select the aircraft.cfg file!***

... and COPY them (NOT CUT!) to inside the "BFU-DC3" folder.

(5)Go fly!!
