This is an Almost fully functional Boeing 777 glass panel for FS9 with cockpit views and special effects night lighting, made from realistic bitmap bases and trying to locate the flying instruments as close as possible to their real locations.

This is my 4th realy complex panel design attempt, I hope everything runs better (with less mishaps from my part) and that you simflyers are satisfied, Please forgive me for any errors and let me know about them. Less errors than the previous times, I hope.

I use this panel with the Meljet 777/200 and 777/300. Soon I'll upload a version with VC windows for the default 777.

Finaly, I would like to thank (its never enough) all the fantastic gauge designers that make all these panels layout possible... without them we would have to flight the dull and unreal original ones...., thank you again, all you guys!!

Ok! now let's get on with the instalation:

Unzip all the contents of the zip files to a temporary folder

You'll end with a Panel, a Gauge's, a sound and a module's folders

Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the bitmap and the panel.cfg file from here to the desired aricraft's panel folder after backing up the panel you have (of course), you might not like this layout.

Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the gauge's folder contents to your FS9 Main gauges folder, overwrite when prompted.(Do not unzip the cab files enclosed in the gauges folder... they work like that, and do not extract gauges from folders enclosed in the zip main gauges folder, they work like that also.)

Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the sound's folder contents to your FS9 Main sound folder, no need to overwrite when prompted.

Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the module's folder contents (FSsound.DLL and SOARRec.dll) (it seems that SOARRec.dll is sometimes unnecessary so, you can try not installing it at first) to your FS9 Main modules folder. Do not overwrite if prompted, your version might be newer than this one.

Finally, to avoid recieving an error box when loading FS9 you should add this little something to your FS9.config file after doing the usual backup for safety;

For the Windows 2000 you should find the main FS9 config file under the path:

C\Documents and settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Fs9.config

Open the file with notepad and add the following lines to it's very beggining

[OLDMODULES]
FSsound.dll=1
SOARRec.dll=1

Save and close

Now, the aircraft config file modifications....
Once I also thought it to be a big deal... well, it's not and it goes like this:

1- open your 777 or whatever aircraft you are using this panel with.... and find the aircraft.config file. Make a backup! don't forget...
2- open the "aircraft.config" file with notepad

3- find the (AUTOPILOT) entry and replace all its contents with the following lines:

[autopilot]
autopilot_available=1
flight_director_available=1
default_vertical_speed=1500
autothrottle_available=1
autothrottle_arming_required=1
autothrottle_takeoff_ga=1
autothrottle_max_rpm=90
pitch_takeoff_ga=12
use_no_default_pitch=1
use_no_default_bank=1
yaw_damper_gain=1.000000
default_pitch_mode=0
default_bank_mode=0
max_pitch=10.000000
max_pitch_acceleration=1.000000
max_pitch_velocity_lo_alt=2.000000
max_pitch_velocity_hi_alt=1.500000
max_pitch_velocity_lo_alt_breakpoint=20000.000000
max_pitch_velocity_hi_alt_breakpoint=28000.000000
max_bank=25.000000
max_bank_acceleration=1.800000
max_bank_velocity=3.000000
max_throttle_rate=0.100000
nav_proportional_control=9.000000
nav_integrator_control=0.250000
nav_derivative_control=0.000000
nav_integrator_boundary=2.500000
nav_derivative_boundary=0.000000
gs_proportional_control=9.520000
gs_integrator_control=0.260000
gs_derivative_control=0.000000
gs_integrator_boundary=0.700000
gs_derivative_boundary=0.000000

4- Find the (direction_indicators) entry and replace it by:

[direction_indicators]
direction_indicator.0=3,0

5- Find the (radios) entry and replace it by:

[Radios]
// Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1 = 1
Com.1 = 1, 1
Com.2 = 1, 1
Nav.1 = 1, 1, 1
Nav.2 = 1, 1, 0
Adf.1 = 1
Transponder.1 = 1
Marker.1 = 1

6- And last but not least... Windows openning in FS9 have a funny way of establhishing priorities. The first one you open is the one that will remain in the back.

I enclosed a special effect nightlit main panel window that is controled by the "PDF" (excuse me for the gooffing! should of course be PFD, as for Primary Flight Display but I've got it wrong from the start and then it was to late to change.... oops and sorry) button on the lower left hand side of the main panel. That should always be the first one to open, otherwise, when opennig the "OH" (overhead), pedesteal, Eicas2 and radar windows, they will remain behind the PDF window...... I still don't know how to solve that simple thing.
Besisdes that, panel lights are independent fron that PDF window and controlled by the knob in the far left side of the main panel.....

save and close...

Start up FS9

Go, fly and enjoy!
