ENGINE AND PROP CHECK BEFORE TAKE OFF

[ ] Set Engine Speed at 2000 RPM
[ ] Quadrant Control, then increase to 2000 RPM in the same manner
[ ] Run both engines up to 1800 RPM, Engineer CHECKS amps and volts for paralleling -- Generator Switches ON
[ ] CHECK Engine Instruments
[ ] Oil Temp -- 60 -80 degrees
[ ] Oil Pressure -- 71 - 85 lbs./sq.in.
[ ] Fuel Pressure -- 15 -17 lbs./sq.in.
[ ] Cyl. Hd. Temp. -- 100 - 205 degrees

BEFORE TAKE OFF

[ ] Check Flying Controls for Free Movement
[ ] Wing Flaps -- DOWN 1/4 to 1/2 required
[ ] Supercharger -- LOW
[ ] Oil Cooler Shutters -- UP Except during cold weather
[ ] Carburetor Air -- UP
[ ] Hydraulic Pressure -- 750 - 950 lbs./sq.in.
[ ] Booster Pumps -- ON
[ ] Nose and Main Gear Emergency Control -- UP
[ ] Mixture Control -- AUTO RICH
[ ] Propeller Controls -- High RPM
[ ] Propeller Switches -- AUTOMATIC, SAFETY, NORMAL
[ ] Fuel Supply -- Adequate
[ ] Tabs -- As required
[ ] Hatches -- CLOSED and SAFETIED
[ ] Crew -- In position

[ ] Cowl Flaps -- NEUTRAL
[ ] Wing Flaps -- NEUTRAL
[ ] Landing Gear Control -- NEUTRAL
[ ] Oil Shutter -- OPEN - NEUTRAL
[ ] Carburetor Air Cold -- NEUTRAL
[ ] Booster Pumps -- OFF at 1000 feet

[ ] Trailing Antenna and Whip -- IN
[ ] Superchargers -- LOW
[ ] Mixture Control -- AUTO RICH
[ ] Booster Pumps -- ON
[ ] Landing Gear Handle -- PULL UP
[ ] Fuel Supply -- Adequate

[ ] Propeller Controls -- 2300 RPM
[ ] Landing Gear -- DOWN and LOCKED
[ ] Hydraulic Pressure -- 750 - 950 lbs./sq.in.

[ ] Propeller Controls -- HIGH RPM

[ ] Oil Shutters -- UP
[ ] Carburetor Air -- UP

STOPPING ENGINES

[ ] Idle -- 2 min. at 500 - 1000 RPM
[ ] Move Mixture Control to IDLE CUT OFF
[ ] OPEN Throttles after engines stop firing
[ ] Ignition Switches and Battery Switches OFF after engines stop turning over
[ ] Brakes OFF after chocks have been placed
