AMPHIBIAN ALIEN CROPCIRCLE UFO

1 - Unzip the file in any directory and move the directory AlienUFO to the Aircraft directory.

Do NOT use the FS2002 Import function to import the craft, otherwise the airfile will be messed up and the UFO will not fly the way it should. There is a backup AlieUFO.air file, named 'Copy of AlienUFO.air'

2 - Backup your Gauges directory first, in case you don't like the newly provided gauges. Copy all the gauges from the Gauges directory to the Gauges directory of FS2002, overwrite all, even if some are older. It will not harm your aircrafts in FS2002 in any way

3 - Backup your Effects directory first, in case you don't like the newly provided effects. Copy all the effects from the Effects directory to the Effects directory of FS2002, overwrite all

4 - Copy all the textures from the Effects/Texture directory to the Effects/Texture directory of FS2002. It must be in the Texture subdirectory of Effects, it has only 1 file

5 - For the panel to work properly, you must have the stock gauges of 747-400, Concorde and King-350 in FS2002, otherwise you cannot flythe UFO. Normally these things are already in FS2002. You can also take these from the FS2000 Gauges

6 - For FS2002 Pro : Do NOT use the FS2002 Pro Aircraft Editor to import this craft in FS2002 Pro, otherwise the aircraft.cfg file gets overwritten. If you did that all the same, then delete the aircraft.cfg and replace that file with the backup (see point-1 above)

7 - Copy the FSUIPC.DLL in the FS2002 Modules folder. Do not overwrite if you have a newer version. This dlll is needed to run the AIMAP

7 - Start FS2002 and menu select the craft from Area-51 / AlienUFO / Gray

1 - If you beam down cropcircles too often, FS2002 may hang, so do it sparsely

2 - For beginning UFOnauts, it may be hard to keep the UFO on the ground when starting an engine. It is recommended to create your flight in a way as to start from the water. For example, choose a harbor of the Caribbean. If you start from concrete, hit F5 to set MFD at zero, use the reverser F2 when starting-up the engines, whilst keeping park brake on and gravity pul (the / key) ON. In any case, start only engines-1 & -2 and leave engines-3 & -4 OFF until you have taken off.

3 - At low altidues at mach 3+ speed, when using autopilot, the UFO may sometimes rock a little bit when banking. Just level off the UFO in horizontal position and it will stabilize immediately. Use gear DOWN & UP to slow down the UFO a little bit. If rocking persists, then the fuel tanks are empty and/ore the speed is too high

4 - If your soundcard stutters, here is the remedy :

a) First install DirectX8 or 8.1
b) Only then (re)install your sound card driver
c) That's it. Problem gone

5 - If the craft rocks and bumps a lot, like having excessive turbulence, your FS2002.CFG needs a small change. Here goes :

[Weather]
TurbulenceScale=1.000000 must be changed into

[Weather]
TurbulenceScale=0.200000

May the force be with you and enjoy this UFO
