----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The files contained in this version of Alaska AFCAD files for FS2004 are intended for users that understand how to use AFCAD files and traffic in FS2004. THIS RELEASE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. This file contains AFCAD files for most of the approximately 700+ airports in the state of Alaska. 648 airports are currently "finished". As with any large project of this nature, there will be problems. Nobody can say what those problems may be until the product is used by those in the field. I have tried to eliminate as many errors and make AFCAD as appropriate as possible for the region covered. Reporting instructions for errors are listed below.

Check my website often for updates. http://home.comcast.net/~ccoarse/index.html

Be sure to check the Revision History below for deletions.

Help!!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have designed scenery for any of the airports covered here, please QC my work and provide me with feedback. Some airports are listed on the Excel Spreadsheet in Orange. This means that I cannot complete the AFCAD file without some sort of scenery fix. Please provide a fix if you can.

All contributors to this project will be fully credited for their work. There are some AFCAD files that I have downloaded and included in this package. I apologise in advance for not crediting you. Please drop me an e-mail and I'll gladly credit you.

Please note that either you or I may be missing scenery and that may be the cause for the error. If I am missing scenery, please let me know what is missing and where to find it. If you are missing scenery, please check the following sites for Alaska Scenery;

I am also looking for a program that will map these files. If you either know of one or are a programmer that can help, please contact me.

Thanks!

Revision History
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
101604 - As usual, many AFCAD files revised/added. Several new airports located but not yet established. Those airports are identifed in dark yellow on the spreadsheet. Water and Land flightplans revised to include new airports/changes. Note - there are now TWO PANTs listed. If you are a BFUer with the beta files, you can use the new version, which is marked Holger. Everyone else must use the old version (marked Frank Betts) for now. It will be worth the wait I assure you. I also cleaned out the old AFCADs files as I have instructed everyone to do, but forgot to do myself! LoL! I've also included a splashscreen for those using Splashscreen Randomizer. It's in the Bonus folder

090604 - Again many AFCAD files revised/added. Airport identifiers for future airports identified and labeled in the Excel spreadsheet. Also on the spreadsheet, the parking spots have been divided between land based and water based to make traffic planning easier. There may be a few errors due to the spots being split up. The flight plans have been revised to include new airports, some of which may not be working yet. A few more ICAO codes have been changed, so please take a good look at the spreadsheet for the files that need to be removed in the event you have earlier versions installed.

080504 - Many AFCAD files revised/added. Several new airports added. Some of the new airports have not been completed and may not have traffic as a result. A few airports have received airport identifiers, but have not been made into AFCAD files yet. Several airport identifiers have been changed to accurately reflect real-world identifiers. These are mainly the lighthouses. A new column has been added to the Excel spreadsheet to reflect old ICAO codes. Look at that column for a list of AFCAD files that need to be removed as a result of these changes. Most sample flightplans have been revised.

070104 - Many AFCAD files revised/added. I added lots of FS2002 scenery to my computer, which resulted in many airports being included. Several did not make the cut due to AFCAD limitations. All default airports have now been "surveyed". Spreadsheet updated. All flightplans have been revised. Be sure to check the Excel spreadsheet in the Notes column because several airports have had their ICAO codes changed and the old file needs to be deleted. Also note that these flightplans have been renamed- I suggest removing the old files.

042804 - Many AFCAD files revised/added. Spreadsheet updated. Several airports fixed. Basic flight plans modified to reflect changes in runway surface due to surveys. Busy flight plans were not modified to reflect changes.

042504 - A183 updated. Fixed an error in the land based flightplans. Spreadsheet updated. More flightplan files added. The XXXbusy flightplans and their respective Aircraft files have been added to increase the amount of traffic at airports with known parking spots of more than 2. Aircraft files added to provide samples of the aircraft I have used.

042304 - Many AFCAD files revised/added. Spreadsheet updated. Approximately 100 more airports "surveyed". Several airports fixed.

041004 - Original files posted.
