The Alaskan Winds Twin Otter
----------------------------
This aircraft follows the AWAS livery guidelines, born with the
FS2000 Alaskan Winds DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver MK-I 3 Pack (see below).

It features:

* All new set of textures
* Bigger main textures, resized to 512 x 512
* Main textures in extended bitmap format, with 32bit depth colors
* Revised front and rear doors format
* Great night lighting textures! (Hey, I like them ;-) !!

(The non-transparent windows were quite a challenge, and in the end I loved
to do those!)

Also included:

* panelmod.zip - New panel .bmp and .cfg files, featuring zoomable
gauges for IFR navigation, altimeter, radar alt, engine and fuel, ease of
check and tune.
Requires you have installed (and u should ;-) Barry Blaisdell's great panel
and sounds for the DHC-6. Check enclosed readme.txt and also the
'PROPNL22 INSTALL Instructions.txt' file
* 6 screenshots

To release:

* I'm preparing a PaintShopPro template and a set of instructions on how-to
put yourseld behind the yoke of the Alaskan Winds DHC6 Twin Otter. These will be
made available, depending on the interest shown... Mail me at joaopaz@alaskanwinds.com
By the way, that's me on the pilot seat while my wife Luisa is doing the copilot turns,
as we often fly here :-)

Credits & Thanks!
-----------------
* Barry Blaisdell
for a Wonderful Twin Otter model, that was just as much fun to paint as it is to fly!
* Bob May
for the textures I used as a basis for my own work. They made my job much easier!
* Steve Small
for his ever great airfiles!
* Marco Blauwhof
for allowing me to use his great toggle gauges!
* Martin Wright
for his fab DXTBmp program. A lot of my work could never reach you people without this
great piece of software!

* Jan Visser & Yannick Lavigne
as always ... for their artistry! I could have never done this and learned so much
if it wasn't for their inspiring artwork.

and last, but not least...!
* Luisa Paz
my wife, for all the support, enthousiasm and aesthetic input, in spite of the many hours
(by the hundreds!!) I have put into this single paint scheme.

Thank You All!

To install this file
--------------------
* Just unzip it into your main FS2002 folder. Everything will fall into place.

* Panel modifications and zoomable gauges (panelmod.zip)
Following the author's method, this aircraft makes use of the default King Air
panel and C208 sounds. However, I strongly advise you to install Barry's own panel
and sounds! Their file names at SurClaro are:
propnl22.zip
prosnd-1.zip
prosnd-2.zip
Just then you may install my panel modifications. Check enclosed instructions on the readme.yxy file.
