Yakovlev Yak-40 Version 4. Release Notes. June 2000.

-------------------------------------------------
Version 4 of my Yakovlev Yak-40 is the last step of my redesign work
over the first model, completed on June 1999.
When compared to Version 1, the following releases had significantly
improved the overall quality of the Visual Model and introduced, since
Version 1x, a completely new and realistic Flight Model, which was
in effect, the main problem of the very first version.
It has now full STOL performances and it is capable of landing and departing
from short runways like the real craft, although it must always be remembered
that it is more than 15,000 Kg heavy and has a relatively low power installed
(3 x 1500 Kg/th Ivchenko AI-25 jet engines), so take-offs from extremely
short runways needs some skills to be performed.
Also, some parts were redesigned as new photographic material was found
and the shape of some parts, especially stabilizers and wings, have
been corrected according to.
The main changes among the various released versions are listed below.
What's new in Version 4, June 2000:
---------------------------------------
Almost any part of the aircraft has been reworked in this release, anyway

Factory's Component Maker (AFCM)
-New tail and stabilizers, now much more realistic than before

-Single texture for each wing added
-Slightly redimensioned main gear's wheels, made with AFCM
