FS2004 Aeronca 1934 C-3 Collegian

This airplane is the first I ever saw up close. In 1938 (I was 6) my Dad to me to the local (Dubuque, Iowa) airport. There were 3 planes there, as I remember, a Ford Trimotor on tour, a J-3 Cub and the C-3. I fell in love with the C-3 because it sat low enough I could see into the cockpit. Thrill of thrills, the owner let me sit in the cockpit while he worked on the engine. I've been hooked on Aviation ever since that day,
This is the 3rd version of the C-3 I've designed and, probably won't be the last, if I live long enough. It has the usual FS9 bells and whistles, the most significant being the sound file which features a recording of an actual Aeronca C-3 engine. I am fortunate to have Paul Matt's drawings for reference and for use as backgrounds in FSDS. This is a FSDSv2.24 project and was compiled directly into FS2004. I have not tried it in any other sim. I created this project as delivered from the factory which means it has no lights and only 4 gauges on the instrument panel. No, it did not have an air speed indicator.

INSTALLATION: Unzip AerC3.zip into a temporary folder. Copy and paste the folder Aeronca C-3 into the Aircraft folder of FS2004. Open the gauges folder and copy the contents into the Gauges folder of FS2004. Note: You must also copy the gauge Piper_J3Cub.cab from the Piper J-3 panel folder into the FS2004 Gauges folder or the rpm gauge won't show. Just copy the .cab guage, don't open it.

LEGAL: This project is released as freeware. You may modify it, repaint it, etc., upload to another website as long as it is not for profit. Also, if any modifications were made to my files before uploading to another site, I cannot be responsible for their performance. You need my written permission to use any of these files for commercial purposes; otherwise just give me credit for the original design. This airplane should not hurt your computer but I am not responsible if it causes problems.
