VERSION 2.00 19-November-2002

Spitfire Mk XIVe (bubble canopy, photorecce version) For FS2002 Pro.

Adapted for FS2002 by Robin Ritchie from an original FSDS2 model by Andrew C. Wai.

New Features :
FSDS2 model including:
Rolling wheels & moving undercarriage
Working WEP (war emergency power) system
Automated wing vortices and exhaust smoke
breaking parts/crash effects
Scarily real flight dynamics!
Adjustable gauge quality in the Virtual Cockpit
Choice of three liveries

Installation:

If you have version1.01, delete it first (but save the sound file).

Drop the whole folder named AWSpitfireVsn2 in your "aircraft" directory. It will show up under "Supermarine".

Add the folder called PAVORTICES to your gauges folder. Note: DO NOT add the XML gauge alone, put the whole directory in.

Open the directory called Effects and place all the .fx files into your FS2002 Effects folder

Open the directory called WEPgauges and add the contents to your FS2002 Gauges directory.

Read the "useful to know" doc enclosed to learn about the effects & WEP. Then go fly the Spitfire!

Sounds are aliased to the cessna :-P Recommended sound package : p51vsnz.zip Mustang sound file (sounds like a Griffon to me!) By Aaron R. Swindle, SkySong Soundworks. Available at www.SurClaro

Also highly recommended "Activecamera" .dll for flying the aircraft in VC mode. Available at http://www.anticyclone.be/
Settings I use are "head latency 0.35", "ground roll 0.9"

Known issues:
landing lights dont illuminate the ground. FSDS2 bug. Otherwise fine!

Any queries, comments or problems email me (not Andrew).
