Feature Aircraft

Boeing B747-217B

Formally held the crown as the "flagship" of the carrier till the 747-300s showed up.Initially leased & bought from "TAP PORTUGAL" & "AIR CANADA", PIA currently owns eight of these second hand aircraft of which two are "Combi" variants. These planes are extensively used on long & medium haul routes which include Europe, North America, Middle East & the Far East. These planes are also used on domestic routes in the form of "Night Coach service" from Islamabad to Karachi & From Lahore to Karachi. These planes have truley played an important role in the PIA fleet as the "Juggernaut" of the skies
