History:
--------

This Tanker/Transport version with extending probes is derived directly from Version 3 of my Boeing 707-320B/C model for FS2000 only, which is, in turn, an extensive rework over the latest Version 2D for both FS98 and 2000.

The new release fills the gaps of the previous one, adding a lot more realism to the whole model at the price of a great increase in model's complexity, which is now no more FS98-compatible.

Following is a list of the main changes since Version 2D:

-addiction of slats all along the leading edge and new flaps structs, now integrated into the wings;
-new, fully integrated, cockpit windows;
-new engines and new "solid" pylons;
-refinements and addictions in gear structs, lightning system, and antennas;
-full moving parts (ailerons, elevators, rudder, flaps, slats, gears and refuelling probes);
-improved flight dinamic; the model now follows exactly the numbers of the real aircraft;
-refuelling probes and underwing refuelling pods;
-refined basic textures.

A few semplifications have been made to Version 3 to make room for the additional pods and probes of this specific model.

Techs Notes:
------------

With a MGTOW exceeding 333,000 lbs, the 707-300 is not a bike and the model will react to yoke's movements very realistically, in accordance with her size and weight; for this reason, a correct use of the elevator's trim is always recommended, especially during take-offs in extreme conditions.

Apart from that, you will find it very smooth and nice to fly.

In order to take off at maximum T/O weight with full fuel load, a 3000+ mt run at sea level in standard conditions will be needed to get airborne, and V1, Vr and V2 speeds will be respectively 148, 154 and 168 Kts.

This T/T version features three extending refuelling probes. The probes can be extended and retracted with the key/button normally used for spoilers. Obviously, the spoilers are not available in this model, and while the deployment of the refuelling probes cause a slight speed decrease, they must *not* be extended on the gound or, in general, just for slowing down the aircraft.

Special thanks to:

-Benny Avia, a real B707-300 and B720 pilot, for his tests on the model, his encouragements and his always extremely positive comments on it;

-Nils Alegren for his extremely useful tech documentation on the 707-300;

-Lee McIntire & Michael Gurezka for testing the earlier models under FS2K;

Release Notes:
--------------

This model is released Freeware "AS IS" with NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND and can be freely distributed everywhere, provided that NO FEES are requested for it.

This model can also be freely repainted by everyone with special tools like AFPaint, Text2BMP and so on, provided that:

1)aknowledgements and credits are made to the Designer;
2)this text file is always enclosed without modifications inside the distribution package;

Although the project's file is not released, a flyable/repaintable model complete with basic white textures is available upon request for repainting.

Comments and critics on this model will be much appreciated.
