[ ] Flashing Beacon and Navigation Lights -- ON as required
[ ] Prime -- AS REQUIRED (2 to 6 strokes; none if engine is warm)
[ ] Throttle -- OPEN 1/8 INCH
[ ] Propeller Area -- CLEAR
[ ] Ignition Switch -- START (release when engine starts)
[ ] Oil Pressure -- CHECK
[ ] Flaps -- RETRACT

(ALTIMETER - HEADING / ATTITUDE INDICATOR)

[ ] Fuel Quantity -- CHECK
[ ] Fuel Selector Valve -- BOTH
[ ] Mixture -- RICH
[ ] Parking Brake -- SET
[ ] Throttle -- 1700 RPM
[ ] Magnetos -- CHECK
a. Magnetos -- CHECK (RPM drop should not exceed 125 RPM
on either magnetoor 50 RPM differential between magnetos)
b. Carburettor Heat -- ON (Check for RPM drop)
c. Engine Instruments and Ammeter -- CHECK
d. Suction gauge -- CHECK
[ ] Throttle LOW IDLE THEN 1000 RPM
[ ] Carb Heat -- OFF
[ ] Throttle Friction Lock -- ADJUST
[ ] Wing Flaps -- UP

[ ] Wing Flaps -- Normal 0 degrees / Soft Field 10 degrees

[ ] Climb Speed -- 70-80 KIAS
