Antelope Trail Ranch
Bush Scenery for FS2002 by Bill Womack

Welcome to the Antelope Trail Ranch!
I hope you enjoy your stay in the closest thing to heaven a bush pilot has around these parts. I built this ranch to give the aviator everything he or she might want to feel right at home in the bush. There's a cozy cabin overlooking a private pier with a float plane hangar for getting that amphib out of the weather. We've got a short (1500') grass strip out back, complete with a hangar. There's a workshop by the hangar for doing any repairs that might be necessary, and an old but serviceable Avgas pump. You should be in good shape for fuel. The last time I checked the tank was mostly full.

Like most bush strips, this one is built mainly for daylight operations. However, if you linger too long sightseeing and don't get in 'til late, I've lit the oildrums around the field to help guide you in. Just park it in the hangar and grab some coffee in the workshop -- there's always a pot brewing.

How to Install
Installation is dead easy. Run the installer (ATRanch.exe) included in this package. That will place the scenery files in the "ADDON SCENERY" folder in FS2002, in a folder called "Antelope Trail Ranch". Once the scenery is installed, start FS2002 and go to the "Settings" Screen. Then click on the "Scenery Library" button and choose "Add Scenery". Navigate to the ADDON SCENERY folder and choose "Antelope Trail Ranch". To add the AFD entry so that the Ranch will show up in your list of airports, go to ADDON SCENERY/Antelope Trail Ranch/ and drop the "ATR1.txt" file onto AFInstaller.exe. That's it! You're good to go.

How to Get Here
It isn't easy to find the Ranch. The most foolproof method is to fly over from Ketchikan (PAKT) to Annette Island (ANN) and fly the 010 radial of the ANN Vortac outbound. The ranch is about 15.5nm from ANN. We're also just a hop, skip and a jump from Bush Flying Unlimited North operations center on Bold Island. Check your sectionals for more information. If you want to start your flying day already at the Ranch, choose "Antelope Trail Ranch Airport (ATR1) from the FS2002 airports list.

Thanks
This is my first scenery project, and it's been fraught with all the learning-curve style problems you can imagine. I might have chucked it all many times over if it wasn't for the help of some extraordinarily fine people on several online message forums. I'd like to specifically thank Dick Ludowise, Christian Stock and all the denizens of the Avsim scenery forum. Also, some indispensible help came from Finn Neuik and DFast and all those who frequent the gmaxsupport.com FS2002 forum. Another gentleman who helped me a lot by way of inspiration was Naji Chehabeddine. In fact, not only did he get me interested in doing bush scenery design, but he was kind enough to let me use his burning oil drum effect for this scenery. Thanks a million!

Legal Mumbo-Jumbo
Okay, here's the deal: Every part of this package with the exception of the effects file mentioned above was the work of my tired hands and feeble brain. Therefore, I reserve copyright on the contents of this scenery package. That means you can't go selling it alone or as part of any project you're offering without first getting my written permission and paying any required bribes. Also, while I don't mind if you upload this file to other websites for distribution purposes, please leave it intact and don't alter its contents in any way and please limit your uploading to only those sites from which anyone can download files without payment. Also, it should go without saying but if you believe that using this scenery has in any way harmed your computer you agree that a.) you may well be delusional and b.) the author (me) is not responsible in any way nor can I be held accountable. Nope. No way. Not gonna happen.

As in every other aspect of life, get out there and see what's to be seen... and enjoy the scenery!
