EDDB/SXF Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport Version 1.0
-----------------------------------------------

Introduction

First of all I would like to thank you for downloading this scenery.
This is an addition to the commercial Europe1 (Pro) scenery, although it works without it. This is my first attempt at scenery design so you will have to excuse a number of errors and bugs that I did not manage to solve.
If you find some or have tips for improvements or critics, please contact me.

Requirements

FS98 with the patch and converter installed. This scenery has been tested only in FS98 however I think that all objects would not be displayed if the patch & converter are not installed or if you try to run it on a version earlier than FS98. You also need the Airport and newest VOD textures. You can find the patch, the converter and the textures at www.SurClaro if you don't have it.

Installation

I guess most of you know how to do this, anyway here is how to do it:

Unzip the eddbsxf1.zip into a temporary directory. Then move it all to the FS98\scenery (or whatever you call it) directory. Next thing you have to do is to activate the scenery.

In FS go to :

World (one of the menus in the top of FS)
Scenery Library
Files
Add

Now print in the following info:
Path: this is where you put the scenery
(ex. C:\fs98\scenery\eddb\scenery\*.bgl)

Title: Berlin-Schoenefeld
Area type: LOCAL
active box: check the box
layer level: higher (that means a lower number) than Europe 1 (Pro)

Also you should delete/deactivate any other scenery's of Berlin-Schoenefeld that you have.

!!!IMPORTANT!!!

If you have other scenery's than Europe 1 (Pro) covering parts of Berlin, for example German Airports 3, please deactivate them when flying to/from Schoenefeld.

Airport Information

Berlin-Schoenefeld EDDB/SXF is one of three airports in germany's capital Berlin. It is at the southern border of the city and is used mainly for charter flights. It is planned to extend it and in 2007 the other two airports are supposed to be closed so that SXF is the only airport for Berlin.

The main Runway is 07R/25L which is equipped with ILS in both directions and can be used up to CAT III conditions.
The other Runway is only used if the main Runway is closed.
Here are some more informations about the Runways:

07L Concrete 8858ft/2700m only visual landings
07R Asphalt 9842ft/3000m ILS 110.70 CAT III
25L Asphalt 9842ft/3000m ILS 109.90 CAT III
25R Concrete 8858ft/2700m ILS 110.30 CAT I

The Airport is one of the few in germany that is open 24h a day.
In 1999 SXF handled about 2 000 000 Passengers (all three airports in Berlin together 12.4 million).
