British Midland Baron 58

A repaint of the default Beech Baron 58, this is my first ever repaint. I haven't got the chrome textures sorted yet, but I'm working on it.

I chose this aircraft as a Baron repaint kit was at hand on SurClaro and the aircraft photo on airliners.net - a nice easy one to start with.

I understand that this aircraft is one of a pair used by British Midland executives as a 'taxi'.

INSTALLATION.

1. First of all, back up your original Beech Baron aircraft.cfg file.
2. Next, unzip the contents of the zip file to your FS9\Aircraft\ folder.
When prompted to overwrite the file aircraft.cfg just click the 'Yes' button.
A new folder called 'texture.1' will be created in your Baron 58 folder. this contains the modified textures. The new 'aircraft.cfg' file enables you to select either the default Baron 58 or the British Midland paint from your aircraft selection menu.
3. Edit the file 'airlines.cfg' that is in the 'Aircraft' folder and add the airline name 'MIDLAND' (without the quotes). Then save the file.

SELECTING THE AIRCRAFT.

1. When you select the British Midland aircraft, click the button to change the ATC name.
2. Select the Airline call sign 'MIDLAND' from the drop down list.
3. Untick the 'Show tail number' box.
4. Click OK to accept the changes.
5. Click OK to finish selecting the aircraft.

ATC will address you as MIDLAND GBNUN

Happy flying.
