INSTALLATION
============

CFS2
++++
Unzip the Whirlwind.zip into a temporary folder.
Move the "Whirlwind" folder into the main CFS2\Aircraft directory. You don't need the FS8-9 install file.
-Copy all Files from the CFS2 package into your ...\aircraft\Whirlwind map
-Move the whirlwind_exhaust.fx into your effects folder.
-Move the complete "Propfighters" folder (don't remove the gauges in it !) into your gauges folder.If you already used one of my previous "propfighters" installation, just copy all new gauges into it. Let them overwrite the old ones.

-The exhaust effects are automatic and start at about 70% throttle.
Every engine can be started/stopped from the cockpit or by the keys.However it is easier to start using the E key.
-Throttle, prop pitch and mixture can be used for any engine or separately.
You have an accurate Dp with standard CFS2 Warloads.

Start CFS2 and enjoy !

Flying the model
+++++++++++++++++
You have a very powerful (hot...), fighter that has to be flown most of the time. It is rather sensitive to trim changes. It has two engines, turning in the same direction. This gives a lot of torque. So better keep the feet on the rudderpedals, use about five clicks of right rudder and brakes at take off or differential throttle from the cockpit and go verrrry slowly with your throttles or you're sure to end into the hangar .
Don't forget to close the radiator exhaust flaps when flying, use the cowling open/close key.
The WEP gauge in FS8/9 gives you war emergency power. WEP is started by clicking on it. The - changes to + when active. Reducing throttle closes WEP.
When landing and using flaps, better add a few clicks of up trim or you may run out of up elevator. Without flaps, landing is less of a problem. Aim for touchdown at about 95 Knots. You get a top speed of about 300kts with good controls and great manoeuvrability.
