File "Raytube.zip" contains two simple round radar
"Cathode Ray Tubes", one Orange, the other Green.
"Rad_cg.gau" is the GREEN CRT.
"Rad_co.gau" is the ORANGE CRT.
Purpose:
Designed to custom-fit within the contours of existing
round "dummy" (non-functional) radar CRT sometimes
displayed on FS panels. *(Please see "Crt_tube.gif")*
Function:
Simulated radar which tracks the position of VOR2 beacon.
A white "blip" on Green or Orange CRT indicates position VOR2.

Origin:
These "gauges" are a modification of Chuck Dome's
"Navradar.gau" found in "Nav2rad.zip".
Caution:
Knowledge of FS98 panel structure (installing gauges) is required.

"Here's a simulated RADAR gauge for FS98 that tracks the position of VOR2.
Installing it requires knowledge of FS98 panel structure. It can be
repainted and resized with GAUBMP. Whenever the aircraft is within range of
the VOR, a white "blip" appears on the green RADAR screen. If the VOR is
more than about 25 NM distant, the blip appears at the edge of the screen.
At less than 25 NM, the blip appears closer to the center of the green
screen. The simulated RADAR is meant to make steering toward VOR2 easier for
aircraft that don't have an RMI."
This gauge and panel are freeware. Please feel free to share them, upload
them elsewhere, use the gauge in other panels and even charge money for
those panels. The gauge and panel should not harm your computer but, if you
imagine they have, I accept no liability.
